Yeah, it usually is pretty boring.

Different kind of entertainment. UFC is the clash between gladiators whereas boxing is the human chess match (hence why it is so boring to most). I give anyone who can box credit in that it is a massive amount of dedication, anticipation, and training to do it. I would rather spend money to buy a wrestling or UFC PPV over a boxing match, but I don't see boxing as "lame". It's like Soccer for me - I respect it, but the pacing of achievements (critical punches landed or goals scored) come so slow, it's not something I choose to follow closely...

That's the problem DRG - nobody is interested in watching chess being played. I appreciate boxing but I forsee the sport dying in the next 50 years. Sure, there will still be boxing - but more in the way that there is still badminton.

Boxing began to die when America began to fail to produce World Heavyweight Champions.

Haha, yep. They only begrudgingly got behind boxers of colour and then that well ran dry too. Also, any weight class above super middleweight is a snorefest.

Wish I could have faced him, I'd knock him the funk out. Would be fun being World Champ.
