I invite you to answer these questions...
(a) Would the term “atheist” then apply to a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and/or practices?
(b) Would the term be applicable to said person’s belief system involving what is “right or wrong” as well as how they conform this to their everyday lifestyle consciously?
(c) Is the term pertaining to a person’s individual cause or principles involving life as we know it?
Atheism is a religion, as is agnosticism; it’s a belief systems centered on the absence (or in agnostic, the plausible deniability of a) deity.
