Now I'm standing firm on when it's all wrapped up I'll buy it all on DVD or Blu-Ray and munch it all up.
You'll really appreciate the show, I think. It can go from being dark and terrifying to ridiculously hilarious on an absolute dime. There's this constant feeling of dread and tension that permeates nearly every scene, but every so often they just masterfully punctuate things with these wonderful little moments of levity. It's so many things, and completely wonderful at all of them.

I also love how little chunks of dialogue can often hint at things to come episodes, if not seasons, later. It's as if every little detail was carefully mapped out before they ever rolled the first bit of film. Even things such as a movie playing on a television set in the background can foreshadow a future dynamic or plot development, without so much as drawing any attention to itself. Texture like that is rare, but Gilligan & Co. weave that stuff into their narrative fabric on a weekly basis. It's cray cray.

Have you seen the preview for that new Spike Lee movie with Lester Freamon? Even though it's look to be way heavy on the religious stuff, the central performance looks astonishing.

I hadn't seen it. Cheers for bringing it to me. Lester just good pohlice, is all, and, just good actors, ya know? I think I can deal with the heavy religious focus. It looks as if it will be telling the journey, and growth, of both the two lead characters. The young man's development, as well as the old man's relieve of the Church strictures, and welcoming a different approach.
