Behind Ronaldinho, Henry, Eto'o, Messi and then David Villa in his final season. Safe to say he'd definitely be down the pecking order haha

In fairness, looking at the team he was with and the dominance Barca had at the time he was there. I think anyone could have scored that many goals for them!

Have to agree with Akbar here. His goal record doesn't really set the world alight and he has been given his chance to shine.

Although I find it bizarre how Barca bought him back again for £13m after his stints with Roma and Milan, when he was likely not going to get any game time. Only to loan him and sell him again

I think you're exaggerating there. As you pointed out, he was behind so many people incredible players during those 4 seasons, most of his appearances were off the bench, so 41 goals in 160 odd appearances is a decent return from a teenager (as he was 16 during the first of those seasons) that was never a regular in the side. And at 23, there's still a lot of room for him to get better.

to be fair part of the reason was because Monaco bought him for 35 mil so they wanted profit

Part of the reason for what dude?...

Walter Samuel has signed for Basel on a one year deal.
Absolute brick of a CB. May be 36 and has struggled with some bad injuries in the past, but he's extremely experienced and as is absolutely solid. That's a good signing I think.

So it seems that PSG have manoeuvred around the FFP rules and have signed Angel Di Maria regardless, without having to sell players first. It seems that they've signed him on loan for a season and then will pay to sign him on a permanent basis next season.
Ridiculous that teams are allowed to utilize loopholes lie this.

Part of the reason he cost Madrid 65 million

if they were a year early they would be 30 million better off

I'm saying that £65 is a good price for him though, if they'd have paid that much last season, I wouldn't have been shocked.

I know its a good price dude, i wouldnt have been surprised if Monaco tried to get 80 mil for him, but obviously they were fine at 63
