Gutted that Wales couldn't get something against Croatia. Had Bale buried that chance he put over the bar in the first half who knows what would have happened. In the end though, we tired and the better side with better players overcame us.
I think Wales have the players going forward and in midfield. Bale, Bellamy, Ramsey, Ledley and Allen all make for a good solid midfield and attack force. Hal Robson Kanu has played really well in these last 2 internationals, and Jonathan Williams (of Crystal Palace) made his debut and looks like a really good player in midfield.
But it's at the back we lack the quality players that you need at international level. Ashley Williams and James Collins are pretty solid, although I've never been 100% convinced with Collins. He seems to get a few bad games for every good one he has. And as for our full backs, we're lacking a lot. Ben Davies is very inexperienced at international level, but ha s a ton of potential, and Chris Gunter is not a top class international full back. We're also lacking a top quality goalkeeper.
With Wayne Henessey injured, Coleman's trusted our goal to Boaz Myhil. He should have saved that Lovren effort last night. I know it was hit with tremendous power and swerved at the very last minute, but he still should have got something to that. In all fairness though, Myhil made a couple of world class saves in that match last night. I would like to see Owain Fon Williams given a chance in goal though he's a good young keeper. Lewis Price is also pretty decent, so I'd like to see either of them given a chance when the next round of friendlies come round.
As for England, a team of their quality should have finished off a team like Montenegro. Chocked again.
