Used to play it in school but it got stupid with people having multiple teams and switching players so I stopped. Got fm handheld now for when I can't be bothered with a full game.

He then scored 44 in 46 games to take me back up as Champions, before forming a solid partnership with Steve Morison that got me into the play offs the following season, but I lost in the semis to Brighton.

The following season- I got into the play offs again, and ended up going up through there. I struggled a bit in the Prem in 2016/2017 season but managed to stay up- ending 16th. Snapped up some brilliant free transfers in the summer (Daniel Sturridge being the biggest pick)- but struggled again until January when I got a 32 year old Demba Ba on loan until the end of the season. I've also got a couple Argie and one English regen who are quality in defence and midfield. Currently 13th, 12 points clear of relegation with 5 games to play. Also in the FA Cup Semi Final against Hull after a run that's seen me beat Man City and Liverpool in successive rounds.

    Current 1st team is:

    GK- Kasper Schmeichel (free)
DR- Sam Byram (kept him all the way)
    DC- Andrew Lawton (regen) (£4m)
    DC- Scott Wootton (free)
    DL- Gabriel Moreno (regen) (£2.5m)
    MR- Stuart Armstrong (£1.8m)
    MC- Armando Rodriguez (regen) (£7.5m)
MC- Callum Reilly (£5m- now worth £11.75m)
ML- Aidan White (kept him all the way through as well)
    ST- Demba Ba (on loan)
    ST- Daniel Sturridge (free)
So to add to this, I finished 11th and won the FA Cup having beaten Hull in the semi and Chelsea in the final. I'll be signing Oier Olazabal to play in goal as soon as the transfer window opens (already a done deal). Demba Ba was great for me and is out of contract in the summer but he's on £85k a week at Dortmund and I don't wanna be paying that much for a 32 year old striker who will be gone after a season or two.

I think that with the fact I'm now in Europe kinda presses my need to strengthen, but it does mean I can get better players. Next season- top half finish!

Best regen I ever saw was about 15 years into the future of FM07 on Xbox360 version.

I'd take Scarborough from fuck all to Champions League winners.

I may of fucked the top 4 into relegated by the time I got there just to spice shit up (none of which recovered enough to be title contenders but they all were strong mid-tablers.

The new big 4 were Crystal Palace, Spurs, Newcastle and Scarborough. Heavy on the latter 2 since they were both amazing teams.

Newcastle had bought this Brazilian guy called Schumacher who was an impossibly great striker, he literally had out of this world stats for his age. Put my attack force to absolute shame but I specialise in defence so I wasn't surprised lol

Long story short, I eventually bought he when I had the cash and Newcastle surprisingly stayed a great side and we just went into another level of good.

God I fucking love FM games. The stories you develop are just amazing.

But I'm posting to ask any of you have you played Soccermanager? Online (free) game where you can take on a number of clubs, depending on how long you've been a member and if you're a subscribed member. I went through a couple of years enjoying the free benefits, but recently bough 1 months worth of 'Gold' management. Its a great thing to go on if youre bored, but cant be arsed playing FM. You have matches every wednsday and saturrday I think, I do encourage you all to check it out
Yeah I played it for a couple of years bro. Don't anymore though, started getting sick of people leaving teams left right and center and all the emails from random people asking me if I'm willing to sell A,B, X or Y. It's a decent game considering it's free though.

Adding to this now- been a weird season so far.

Signed a few regens in the summer to boost my midfield, as well as getting Cauley Woodrow up front who is a beast, and Douglas Costa on loan from Barca which was a great signing. I got knocked out of the League Cup quite early, and my star defender- a regen by the name of Andrew Lawton- decided he wanted to go to a bigger team so I agreed to sell him for £23.5m to Man U which is £19.5m more than I signed him for originally so great piece of business. This happened post-August transfer window but before January and I decided I didn't wanna play a player who wouldn't be there for long- and dropped him out of my team. I also had some of my back up young regens asking for loans which I accepted and sent them off on.

I agreed a deal with Forest- who were flying at this point- to sign their CB Jamaal Lascelles for £13m to replace Lawton. All of this would go down on January 1st- when Lawton also got named European Golden Boy which pissed me off no end. Anyway, I got knocked out of the FA Cup as holders to Sheff Wed- who are League One in my game- in the fourth round which obviously pissed me off. I did well to progress from the Euro Cup group stage though and faced AC Milan in the first knockout stage. Got a respectable 2-2 draw in the San Siro and then drew 1-1 at home to get into the second knockout stage, where I faced Besiktas. I lost 4-1 in the first leg in Turkey but destroyed them 7-0 at home to progress. I face Sporting Lisbon in the quarters and then either Dortmund or Newcastle if I can get through, which I'm looking forward to.

The Premier League has been quite unpredictable. Chelsea ran away with it at first- going unbeaten until January- but Arsenal kept around 6 points below them. Third place, Stoke, are currently 15 points below Arsenal. Newcastle are 4th, a point below Stoke and above me in 5th on GD. I'm 2 points ahead of Man City who have a superior GD to all Stoke, Newcastle & me. The real shock was that Man U are currently 13th and in somewhat of a crisis. Rooney, Lewandowski and Lennon- three of their first team members- have all announced they're leaving on free transfers at the end of the season and Mourinho has a job to sort them out. Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool are all also wallowing in mid table somewhere. Currently Norwich, Derby and West Ham are in the relegation zone but Hull are also fighting in there. Huddersfield on the other hand are mid-table somewhere. Crazy PL so far. There's around 8 games to go so I'm hopeful of a Champions League spot.

My current team is (I'll list them all as I rotate a lot):

    Goalkeepers:
    Luca Savelloni (regen) (1st choice)
Kasper Schmeichel (leaving at the end of season)
Oier Olazabal (leaving at the end of season)

    Defenders:
    Sam Byram (1st choice RB)
    Matthew Connolly
    Pasquale Daniele (regen R/CB)
    Jamaal Lascelles (1st choice CB)
Scott Wootton (1st choice CB, Captain and Club Icon)
Gabriel Moreno (regen) (1st choice LB)
    Jack Robinson
    Michael Keane
Steve Cook (leaving at the end of season)

    Midfielders:
    (I don't have 1st choices, and rotate a hell of a lot)
    Gabriel Ruiz (regen R/LM)
Not sure how to spell his first name Montesardi (regen RM)
    Stuart Armstrong
    Aidan White
    Armando Rodriguez (regen CM)
    Douglas Costa (on loan)
    Callum Reilly
Bradley Johnson (leaving at the end of season)
    Ugo Di Napoli (regen CM)

    Strikers:
    Cauley Woodrow (1st choice)
    Eddie Kearney (regen) (1st choice)
    Daniel Sturridge
    Callum McManaman

    May aswell list my team

    Goalkeepers:

David De Gea, First team now, signed for alot of money ofcourse
Iker Casillas, still not retired yet but hes good enough to remain sub goalie

    Defenders:

Imbrahim Salami, Now taken over as first choice right back ahead of Ramos, only a 20 yr old regen
Sergio Ramos, now relegated to rotating around when needed
Julian, Youth player who plays cup games
Alvaro Oliviera, Young regen who is first team quality, plays most games
Mikel San Jose, now the rock at the back alongside Oliviera
Raphael Varane, First team but injured long term allowing the others to play at cb
Alex Sandro, First choice lb for several seasons now, plays nearly every game

    Midfeilders:

Kwadwo Asamoah, Got from Juve for free, plays regularly sometimes filling in at lb when Sandro is injured
Juan Luis Guerrero, Regen who needs a bit of work, he plays fairly often at DM rotating around often
Sami Khedira, Like the others he rotates often since hes getting on a bit
Jorge Paris, January signed regen, good stats and should progress with a few games throughout the season on the left wing
Angel Di Maria, Plays fairly often, especially in key league and cup games
Gonzalo Goncari, The best regen i have so i play him as often as i can
Miralem Pjanic, signed cheap, stats are much better than i thought so he plays well and gets alot of assists
Mesut Ozil, Injured and playing less and less
Enzo Andre, Regen plays a few times ocasionally
Cristiano Ronaldo, Playing often but is leaving at the end of his contract
Iker Munian, As good as you would expect

    Forwards:

Romelu Lukaku, highest scorer and plays nearly all the time
