Thread: WWE '12 Thread

I'm in a match in '11 right now. The random ass Universe Mode bullshit just made the 'Deadman' Undertaker interfere with the match 'Taker style. Problem is he showed up and Tombstoned the DLC 'American Badass' Undertaker.

A moment so ridiculous I had to tell you guys about it.
I will never forget you, CBot. You will always be my one true love.

    Cool WWE '12 Roster Ratings

IDK about you guys, but i like the little detail in sports games, especially player ratings. I took a look at the WWE '12 Roster, and saw thought the ratings to be interesting.

Some i thought were on point, most not.

You can check out the superstar ratings here: http://wwe.thq.com/go/view/roster
Click on the wrestler and it'll show.

I'm gonna list what i think the ratings should be:

    Undertaker- 97
    John Cena -96
    The Rock- 96
    Stone Cold Steve Austin- 96
    CM Punk- 95
    Randy Orton- 95
    Brock Lesnar - 94
    Triple H- 94
    Booker T- 91
    Edge- 90
    Kevin Nash- 90
    Alberto Del Rio- 89
    Arn Anderson- 89
    Big Show- 89
    Sheamus- 89
    Kane- 88
    The Miz- 88
    Mark Henry- 87
    Ricky Steamboat- 86
    Eddie Guerrero- 86
    John Morrison- 85
    Rey Mysterio- 85
    Animal- 84
    Christian -83
    Hawk- 83
    Vader- 82
    Dolph Ziggler- 82
    R-Truth- 82
    Wade Barrett- 82
    Ax- 80
    Smash- 80
    Beth Phoenix- 78
    Daniel Bryan- 78
    Mason Ryan- 78
    Ezekiel Jackson- 77
    Kofi Kingston- 77
    Alex Riley- 76
    Cody Rhodes- 76
    Michelle McCool- 76
    Evan Bourne- 75
    Justin Gabriel- 74
    Natalya- 74
    David Otunga- 73
    Kelly Kelly- 73
    Sin Cara- 72
    Zack Ryder- 72
    Tyson Kidd- 72
    Jack Swagger- 71
    Ted DiBiase- 71
    Vladimir Koslov- 71
    Heath Slater- 70
    William Regal- 70
    Maryse - 70
    Vince McMahon- 70
    Jerry Lawler- 70
    Goldust- 69
    Eve- 68
    Husky Harris- 68
    M. McGillicutty- 68
    Yoshi Tatsu- 68
    Drew McIntyre- 67
    Chavo Guerrero- 65
    Layla - 65
    Santino Marella- 62

If you're wondering how i came up with these, and may be infuriated as some actual good wrestlers are rated so low, i'm basing it off of relevancy, popularity, championship reigns, etc. Almost as if the storylines were important and real. If you played NBA 2K games as much as i do, maybe you'd be able to agree with most of what i've put.

Hope you enjoyed. Maybe you could list some of the ratings you think should be up.

I tried to keep the 90 ratings as exclusive as possible... Hence my reason for Miz being at 88 only. Going by what we see on TV, and not purely his talent, his championship reign seemed a bit falty. Although he had a pretty lengthy run, his wins were flukish. His key wins i can remember have been against Lawler and Cena (by which he cheated). So that's why i felt 88 was perfect for him. He just doesnt seem as credible as a top top echelon yet.

As for the rest of the ones that were listed as too low, i didnt rate them higher due to relevancy in comparison to each other. I noticed the actual ratings in the game gave a buncha guys 80's. But in sports games, ratings arent as generous, and i'd think the ratings of 90s and 80s like in actual sports games, would actually be held in high regard as to not generously hand them to anyone who's good.

Nash, well i just think theyre rating him based on his prime, thus i gave him a 90. if we're going by today, i'd prolly give him an 80 or so.

The ones i have left in the quote are the ones I believe you've gotten wrong. Especially Eddie Guerreros. I added high or low to show which direction they need to be fixed in for your list

If your going by relevancy, popularity, championship reigns I think Hawk and Animal should be a little bit higher.

  7. #527
The reason why i dont have guys like Miz and Christian higher, is because i'm trying to keep the 90's a top class of the elite...
Would you really put Miz in the same level as Stone Cold, Rock, Taker, etc?

Plus, i'm digging the feedback guys :-) Perhaps you guys could also add your own ratings, at least of the ones you dont agree with. :-)

and yeah, i guess i was a bit bias against Sin Cara. I'd probably change it to a 79 or so. not 80's though. Cant be rated that high without a single championship, imo.

I chuckled at the fact that according o this list, David Otunga is rated higher than most of the ones underneath him, including Chavo, McIntyre, Regal, Goldust, Kozlov, Swagger, Kidd, Ryder and Cara.
    An absolute joke!

everything is to high cmon max should be around 93 its not like theyre perfect
and maryse a 60 some?divas are going to low guys :/
btw hope some more jobbers get in the game

"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover"

I was anticipating some heat for the Otunga rating... lol. Well, lets face it, he's been a lot more relevant than those below him. He's been a tag champ. And personally, i dont think he's as bad at wrestling as everyone makes him out to be.

Guys like McIntyre, Chavo, etc are better than him in the ring. But McIntyre doesnt have his mic skills, isnt as popular, etc etc.

Had this been around the year where Drew was IC champ, he'd be around a 75 imo. But dude has been getting buried, and lost all his steam. :/

Again, popularity, relevance, along with storyline character status (TV time), championship reigns, and actual in ring ability, were taken into account.
