So, another Raw has gone by and I have some thoughts. In case you are an idiot and need reminding...
I liked the post-match for Morrison & Bryan vs. Riley & The Miz, despite how useless it was. I mean, first of all having a PPV 2 weeks after your last one is pretty much ridiculous and an obvious attempt at stealing money from die-hard WWE fans. Second, trying to build up a rivalry in 2 weeks time is pretty much a waste. Now obviously, the Miz-Bryan rivalry has been going for some time now, but trying to build up the interest in a PPV 1 week before the PPV by adding a third person in a match that doesn't need it is just stupid. Don't get me wrong, as I said at the beginning, I find this three way rivalry interesting, but they probably should have saved it for later, instead of saying "ohh crap, Morrison needs a match or he'll lose his momentum, let's kill his momentum by having him lose at Hell in a Cell in a match with a clear-cut winner."
If you thought that the Anonymous GM gimmick couldn't get any worse, it got worse. Text-to-speech, bringing in WWE's crappy comedy to an already crappy storyline. Just to note, if Edge ever gets into a First Blood match with the Computer, he'll lose. Also, vintage Cena was displayed, as even though he sold the Spear, after the match was restarted he instantly no-sold any damage done to him when he locked in the STF. I give props to Edge though for not tapping out instantly as it was applied, unlike every other wrestler who gets it put on them.
Concerning the Hart Dynasty, WWE really needs to stop breaking up every good tag team after they lose the titles, it gets really old really fast and you can't afford it concerning the complete lack of tag teams you have right now. Just thinking about it, Miz-Morrison lost the titles at Wrestlemania 25, split up after the draft. The Colons (man that looks bad without the accent) broke up after losing the titles to Edge-Jericho. Jericho-Big Show broke up after losing the titles to DX. DX broke up after losing to ShowMiz. ShowMiz broke up after losing to the Hart Dynasty. The Harty Dynasty now appears to be breaking up after losing to Rhodes-McIntyre.
I really liked the Sheamus vs. the Great Khali segment, as I kind of felt it really helped establish Sheamus as the threat he's supposed to be. I mean, Khali will lose a match for sure, but to be dominated like that was a refreshing sight. Also props to the WWE for having Sheamus face one of the few wrestlers in the company I would rather see lose than Sheamus.
I really wished Orton vs. Jericho didn't end in a DQ, as although I did know the punt was coming, I kind of hoped the punt was the end of the match. The match was good towards the end, though I imagine that if they did this at a PPV it would be a lot better. However, I liked how the punt built into the Orton vs. Sheamus rivalry and how Sheamus looked frightened after witnessing it. True, it kind of canceled out Sheamus's segment earlier in the night, but who cares when Orton gets to look awesome. Also, I loved how the show cut to commercials while Jericho was listing off people he's beaten, and when the show returned he was still listing off people he'd beaten. I hope Jericho comes back soon.
