Main Event 2:
Undertaker vs. John Cena - Undertaker's retirement match
I think this is another match that's just gonna happen. Undertaker hand picks Cena to be his last opponent ever. Taker hasn't faced Super Cena yet, and he's one of the only true super stars he hasn't faced at Mania. There's no one else for him to really feud with either. Kane maybe given it's his last match, but Kane kinda sucks these days and that match has happened a million times already.
I'm of the opinion that this match would have been great had the streak still been on the line, but now, I'm not so keen to see it. I'd much rather see Taker taking on Sting (who I notice you haven't booked for the event at all).
Main Event 3:
Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan
So this is obviously a highly speculative match on my part. Having this match would assume A.) Daniel Bryan can even make it to Mainia, B) Brock Lesnar isn't in the title picture, and C) if A and B are true, can you afford to have Daniel wrestle a guy as stiff as Brock? If all of that checks out, I think this is a money match. Bryan is the pluckiest underdog there is, and Brock is toughest challenge for someone to take in WWE, so it makes perfect sense. Paul Heyman picking up the promo work would make for great television as well. If Brock is either champ or Bryan can't wrestle, I think you insert someone like Orton or Reigns in here.
I'd prefer to see Bryan out of the ring for a period of about 2 years. Maybe even longer. However long it takes him to get 100% healthy, then he has to take that time out, otherwise he may never get to complete a full career. Bringing him back after less than a year out and then putting him in the ring with arguably the stiffest and most intense worker in the business right now isn't a wise move.
I'd put Lesnar int he ring against someone like Kevin Owens or Samoa Joe perhaps.
Main Event 4:
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins (Royal Rumble winner) vs. Dean Ambrose (Money in the Bank) - WWE title Match
So, I think at Summerslam they do a rematch of the Mania main event, with Roman picking up the win over Brock and Rollins. They wanna sell this thing out, and I think they wanna have the Shield reunite eventually, but before that they simply have
to have the triple threat match. It's a dream match imo. The three brightest young stars of the industry (imo) with that much history together. I've personally been waiting for this match since the Shield broke up, and having it for the strap makes it all the better. If you're reluctant to do this match or these guys don't figure into the title picture, then I think you pull the trigger on the reunite and have their comeback match here against three of your top heels.
This match is surely a distinct possibility. I would have liked to have seen Ambrose winning MITB, but it looks as if he's getting a title rematch instead now. I'm sure there's other ways of making this happen though, and I'd love to see it.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Bray Wyatt (c) - IC title match
I think Wyatt eventually takes the IC title off of Ryback. I think this is right where these two belong right now. Upper mid carders who are good enough to have a featured feud, but not hot enough to main event. So if you look around at potential Wyatt opponents, this feud seems highly likely at some point, and I think Mania is the right time to pull the trigger. Give Dolph a chance to steal the show, and win the IC title who we can only hope gets a proper push back to relevance.
I can buy that. Though I think perhaps that Ziggler in the IC title match is just an overdone thing now. Finn Balor instead perhaps?
Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens (c)- US title
So this is a borderline main event with the way they're booking the US title, but we'll see how the title is treated once Cena isn't holding it. I do think Owens is gonna be the one to take the title off Cena eventually. Cena probably wins at MITB, and the rubber match will be for the US title, where Owens takes it. Owens then theoretically has a proper run with a now meaningful title, which cements him as legitimate. Orton vs. Owens sounds great imo. Two badass characters doing badass things with a strap on the line. Me likey the prospects of this matchup.
I'd be game to see this match for sure. Orton always pulls it out the bag and Owens has already proven that he can do the same and go toe to toe with the best in the business. A great matchup in the making.
Paige vs. Charlotte (c) - Divas title
So in a bit Charlotte is likely to debut on the main roster, and I think she'll get a good push once she does. After beating the Bellas and some of the other Divas of the month they try to push, they hold off on these two facing each other for Mania. Give this some times and these ladies will put on a show.
I can't see WWE leaving the Bellas off the card, so I think a triple threat with one of the Bellas, or fatal 4 way with Naomi added is more likely.
Luke Harper and Erick Rowan vs. Usos (c) - Tag Title Ladder Match
So, anyone else remember the AMAZING matches these two teams had in their previous feud? I do, and I think come Mania it'll be time to revisit it. Once the Usos are healthy, they'll be taking the titles off New Day, and I think that program will be sweet, but it it'll be stale by Mania. These team have incedible chemistry together, and adding a gimmick like a Ladder or tables, or something would make this match amazing.
While I enjoyed The Usos as tag champs, I'm not keen to see them winning the titles again once they come back. Not so soon after their last run, and not given the fact that there's several other great tag teams in the division right now that deserve to hold the straps. I agree that these two teams put on some excellent tag matches during their feud, but I think I'd rather see some new faces. The PTP or Lucha Dragons I think deserve a shot, and The New Day have also done a great job since turning heel. A multi-team match would be better IMO.
Sheamus vs. Ryback
So these two are big enough stars that they deseve a singles program, but not big enough stars to crack the proper card.
I'm holding out for Sheamus to win the IC title at some point and face Finn Balor, perhaps at Wrestlemania. Ryback in the US title match maybe?
Andre the Giant Battle Royal with the rest of the scrubs
Rusev, Barrett, Cesaro, Big Show, Kane, Neville, etc. All the midcarders get a payday.
Rusev should perhaps win it, ust to ensure that his momentum is carried on.
