    TNA iMPACT Wrestling
    Episode One

The cameras cut into the arena as fireworks shoot off near the stage signaling the start of iMPACT Wrestling. The camera focuses in on Mike Tenay and Taz as they welcome us to the new era of TNA Wrestling. They talk about the new fresh start TNA is undergoing, and how this new and exciting time for TNA Wrestling, the roster, and the fans starts tonight with this edition of iMPACT Wrestling. They hype up the new Executive Director of Wrestling Operations, Kurt Angle, and his announcement regarding the return of the 6 sided ring. They also hype up the fact that he will be here tonight and he will make big announcements addressing TNA’s Titles and the upcoming PPV No Surrender.

    Kurt Angle Promo:

Kurt Angle’s music then hits as the camera pans up to the stage where Kurt Angle comes out in a suit with a microphone in hand. He makes his way down to the ring, slapping hands with a few fans before climbing into the ring. He pauses for a moment to soak in the applause before he starts to speak.

Angle welcomes us all to the, “New and improved TNA Wrestling.” He says this is the fresh start TNA needed to compete with the big leagues, and that this will be the most exciting time in TNA’s history. He says it’s his mission to make TNA the top wrestling company in the business and says it starts tonight here on iMPACT Wrestling. He then turns his attention towards the return of the 6 sided ring, and says it feels good, and it feels right, to be back in the middle of a 6 sided ring. He says great matches have been had in this ring, and more great matches are to come.

Angle now turns his attention towards the TNA Championship situation. He first starts off addressing the World Tag Team Championships. Angle says he can guarantee that at No Surrender there will be new Tag Team Champions. He says that over the next few weeks he will be watching the tag team division closely, and says that the teams that impress him the most will get a shot at the Tag Team Titles at No Surrender, and he will announce his decision on the teams competing in a few weeks. Angle then says that the same rules and conditions apply for the X Division Championship as well.

Angle moves onto the Knockout’s Championship, where he says he has assembled a 9 Knockout Tournament for the Knockout’s Title, where the final two Knockouts left will meet at No Surrender in the Championship Match. He says that in order to run the Championship tournament though, one Knockout will receive a bye, and in order to determine who that Knockout will be, tonight there will be a 9 Knockout Battle Royal, where the winner will receive the bye.

Angle finally moves onto the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He says that this will be the only Championship that won’t have a home after No Surrender, and that’s because he has assembled a Bound for Glory Series for the Vacant TNA World Heavyweight Championship, that will conclude at Bound for Glory. He says that this won’t be a normal Bound for Glory Series… it will be a Bound for Glory Series with a twist. He says in a normal Bound for Glory Series the final four meet at the PPV and the two winners meet to determine the number one contender. However since there is no Champion, and Bound For Glory is the PPV after No Surrender, he has decided that the final four above the line of death will meet at Bound For Glory for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in a Fatal 4 Way Match! He says he is about creating opportunities and this creates the most opportunities in a fair manner, while still being able to keep the Bound for Glory Series. He says now all that is left is to announce the 12 wrestlers in the Bound for Glory Series and they are…

    Abyss
    Austin Aries
    Bobby Roode
    Bully Ray
    Eric Young
    James Storm
    Jeff Hardy
    Lashley
    Magnus
    Mr. Anderson
    RHINO
    Samoa Joe

Angle says that traditional Bound for Glory Series rules and scoring apply, and that the Series will kick off tonight with two matches. James Storm will meet RHINO, and in the Main Event, Bully Ray will meet Magnus! Angle finally thanks the fans for sticking with TNA Wrestling, and says he hopes they are as excited for the future as he is, because this is the new fresh start that TNA needed, and will make TNA number one.

    Ethan Carter III Promo:

Just as Angle is about to leave the ring, the music of Ethan Carter III hits and he makes his way out onto the ramp and down to the ring, not looking very happy. The fans boo as EC3 ignores them, staring at Angle the whole way down the ramp and getting into the ring. EC3 grabs the mic handed to him as he stares down Angle, and then begins to speak.

EC3 says he is furious with Angle right now. Angle says he is about creating opportunities yet he doesn’t give an opportunity to the man who deserves it the most, him. EC3 tells Angle he should be in the Bound for Glory Series, because he is the only wrestler most deserving of being TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He also tells Angle that if it wasn’t for his Aunt Dixie, Kurt wouldn’t even be standing here right now as Executive Director of Wrestling Operations. He says his Aunt Dixie is responsible for this company being here, and she is responsible for everything in the company including the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, so it’s only right that a Carter is granted a shot… an opportunity for that very Title that is her responsibility.

    Kurt Angle Response:

Angle tells EC3 to slow down and notice something… his Aunt Dixie isn’t here no more, so she has no effect on any of his decision making. Angle says he has done it all in this business, including being an Olympic Gold Medalist and TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and he chose the wrestlers he thought would make for the best Bound for Glory Series, as they have all proven themselves prior, and EC3 is relatively unproven. This gets EC3 upset, and Angle tells him to calm down. Angle says tonight he is going to give EC3 an opportunity to prove himself, in a match with… Willow!

    Ethan Carter III Response:

EC3 gets upset, and looks a bit worried and says that Angle is giving him an opportunity against someone who is already in the Bound for Glory Series, just under a mask. EC3 says that if he beats Willow tonight he should be put in the Bound for Glory Series, replacing Jeff Hardy.

    Kurt Angle Response:

Angle responds that he met with Jeff Hardy earlier and Jeff has assured him he is no longer portraying his alter ego Willow. Angle says that he was also approached by Willow asking for a match tonight, so he is going to grant his wishes. He says though that if EC3 does beat Willow, maybe he will consider adding EC3 to the Bound for Glory Series.

    Ethan Carter III Response:

EC3 questions Angle if he actually believes Jeff, if he believes that’s the truth, because Jeff is a pathological liar.

    Kurt Angle Response:

Angle responds… “It’s true… It’s damn true!” Angle then drops the mic and heads up the ramp and to the back while slapping hands with a few of the fans as EC3 stands in the ring looking both angry at Angle and worried.

Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us back to iMPACT Wrestling and they recap the major announcements Kurt Angle made regarding the TNA Championships and No Surrender. They react to the announcements and the participants in the Bound for Glory Series. They then react to Ethan Carter III’s actions and his match against Willow.

The BroMans make their way out with DJ Z and the fans boo them, which they just laugh at them and ignore the boos. The Wolves makes their way out to cheers and slap hands with a few of the fans before making their way into the ring.

Match 1: The BroMans (Jesse Goddrerz & Robbie E) w/ DJ Z vs. The Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards)

The Wolves gain the early advantage in the match, but The BroMans quickly took over. The BroMans controlled a good portion of the match. Eventually Wolves hit a couple of moves to break open the match. Both teams got the hot tag, and Robbie E breaks up a close pin. Match ends when Davey Richards makes a blind tag on Eddie Edwards, who ducks a clothesline and superkicks Jesse Godderz into a bridging German Suplex from Davey Richards.

After the match DJ Z rushes into the ring and The Wolves roll out as Robbie E slides in the ring and DJ Z checks on both men, and they stare down The Wolves who have their arms raised on the ramp. Mike Tenay and Taz talk about how this is a big win for The Wolves to impress Executive Director of Wrestling Operations Kurt Angle, and how he factors in this win to his decision regarding the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

    Bully Ray Interview:

We head to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing with Bully Ray. Borash asks Ray about his thoughts on and plans for the Bound for Glory Series and his match tonight against Magnus. Ray says tonight he sets the tone for the other 11 men in the Series when he beats Magnus and gets the early points and lead in the Series. Ray vows that he will never be removed from first place after he gains the spot tonight, and this will lead all the way to him winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

    Commercial

Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us back to iMPACT Wrestling, and they go over the scoring rules for the Bound for Glory Series in preparation for the first match of the Series. 10 Points for win by Submission, 7 Points for win by Pinfall, 5 Points for win by Countout, 3 Points for a win by Disqualification, and 2 points for a draw. They also remind us that a Disqualification loss results in a deduction of 10 points.

James Storm makes his way down to the ring to boos as he drinks his beer on the way down, and on his final drink he spits it all over the audience members. RHINO makes his way out to a mixed reaction but more boos than cheers, and there are a few ECW chants heard throughout.

Match 2: BFG Series: James Storm vs. RHINO

Storm and RHINO have a very competitive, back and forth match. The finish comes when both men spill to the outside and RHINO throws Storm into the steel steps and then spine first into the turnbuckle. RHINO then throws Storm against the steel barricade, and then backs up and charges Storm for a Gore, and Storm moves and RHINO crashes into the barricade, and Storm falls to a seated position next to the steps and ring apron, resulting in a double countout draw.

After the match both men are check on by the ref. Mike Tenay and Taz take a look at the BFG Series leaderboard which shows James Storm and RHINO tied with 2 points each.

The camera goes to the back where Ethan Carter III is pacing back and forth in his locker room both looking very tense, angry, upset and worried about his upcoming match with Willow.

    Commercial

Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us back and recap the events from earlier that lead to this match. They talk about EC3 thinking he should be placed in the Bound for Glory Series without doing or proving anything just because of the sole fact that he is a Carter. They talk about how him disrespecting Angle lead to this situation, but how big of an opportunity this is for EC3, because if he wins Angle will consider adding him to the Bound for Glory Series. They talk about Angle sticking to his word about giving wrestlers opportunities despite what EC3 said.

EC3 makes his way down to the ring first to sound boos as he ignores them and just looks worried. He gets in the ring and looks up towards the ramp. Out comes Willow to applause as he runs around the ring, and EC3 just stares him down. Willow gets in the ring and EC3 backs up and looks both upset, worried and angry.

Match 3: Ethan Carter III vs. Willow

The match tarts early with EC3 taking some cheap shots and trying to unmask Willow, but this only makes Willow more furious. EC3 at one point tried to voluntarily get counted out but Willow chased him down and brought him back into the ring. The finish comes when Willow hits EC3 with the Twist of Fate.

After the match Willow runs around the ring and up and to the back as the ref tries to check on EC3 but he pushes him away, holds his head, and just stares at Willow.

The camera goes to the back and is split into three windows as they focus in on Angelina Love, Gail Kim, and ODB all making their way to the ring for their Knockout Battle Royal as Mike Tenay and Taz hype the match.

We come back and all 9 Knockouts are in the ring and ready to start the match. Mike Tenay and Taz reminds us what is on the line in this Knockouts Battle Royal, a bye in the TNA Knockouts Championship Tournament to be concluded with a finals match at No Surrender

    Match 4: Knockout Battle Royal

The match starts and immediately Angelina Love and Velvet Sky of The Beautiful People begin to work together, and they eliminate Rebel. They then turn their attention towards former member Madison Rayne, who is able to fight them off with assistance from Brittany, who then in turn eliminates and unsuspecting Madison Rayne. ODB then charges at Brittany who pulls down the ropes and eliminates ODB. Gail Kim then attacks Brittany, and they attack each other for a little while until The Beautiful People attack Gail Kim, and the three Knockouts eliminate Gail Kim. Right after that elimination Brooke and Taryn Terrell come over and pick up Angelina Love by the legs and toss her out of the ring. Brittany and Velvet Sky turn around towards Brooke and Taryn Terrell and stare them down as they are the last 4. They wrestle for a bit until Velvet Sky eliminates Brooke. As she does Brittany is trying to eliminate Taryn Terrell and Velvet Sky comes over and tosses both Knockouts outside of the ring, eliminating them and winning Battle Royal.

After the match Velvet Sky celebrates and Mike Tenay and Taz talk about the huge Battle Royal win for Velvet Sky and how now this gives her a bye in the TNA Knockouts Championship Tournament.

    Magnus Interview:

The camera then goes to the back once more where Jeremy Borash is standing by with Magnus. Borash asks Magnus about his plans and thoughts on the Bound for Glory Series and his upcoming match against Bully Ray. Magnus says that Bully Ray talks a big game, but that’s all it is talk. Magnus talks about how many people in the locker room are intimidated by Bully Ray, but not him. Tonight he is going to show he isn’t intimidated by Bully Ray and beat him tonight on his way to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

    Commercial

Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us back for our main event and recap the first match earlier tonight in the Bound for Glory Series. Bully Ray makes his way out to the ring to cheers as he looks focused, and he gets in the ring waiting for Magnus. Magnus makes his way out to boos which he ignores as he just walks down the ramp and stares at Bully Ray.

Main Event: BFG Series: Bully Ray vs. Magnus

This match is very competitive from the outset. During the match Bully Ray is able to connect with a Bully Cutter but Magnus is able to kick out. Magnus towards the end of the match is able to lock in the King’s Lynn Cloverleaf. Bully is able to make his way to the ropes. Bully climbs under the ropes and to the apron. As he stands Magnus steps out onto the apron will Bully Ray and drops Bully with a back suplex side slam onto the apron. Magnus gets back in the ring and tells the ref to count. Bully tries to get back in by reaching up and grabbing the bottom rope while kneeling near the apron. Magnus pushes Bully away with his boot, and goes back out after Bully. They fight outside back and forth for a bit until Bully takes advantage. Bully tries to powerbomb Magnus outside but Magnus tosses him overhead. Magnus falls then gets back to his feet and runs as Bully chases after. Magnus then gets a bit of distance and when Bully chases him once more Magnus dropkicks the steel steps into Bully’s legs and knees and this knocks him down and Magnus slides into the ring for a countout victory.

Mike Tenay and Taz now show us the updated leaderboard with Magnus on top with 5 points. We cut away from the graphic and back to the ring where Magnus celebrates the victory until he sees Bully Ray get up. Bully looks angry and he charges in the ring, and Magnus rolls out and runs up the ramp as Bully points at him from in the ring and Magnus stands at the top of the ramp with a smug smile on his face and the camera fades to black.

    TNA: Episode One review.

So first thing I noticed, it looks like mine with the pictures and similar format. I don't mind that really, I personally like the pictures to break it up from all the writing. It's something we all agreed on and did with the WWE Fed so no problem there. Now, let's get to the show.

Though I would have liked to see have seen Angle remain an active wrestler and someone else come in and take the role, I enjoyed the opening Angle promo and the announcements that followed. The 9 knockout tournament and the Bound for Glory series were very cool. Very creative. I'm also more then fine with the 12 people announced in the BFG series.

I'm not an EC3 fan but with the role he's been on with TNA, his argument about him deserving a title shot, actually made some sense. I liked the response from Angle with the "Take a look around" line.. that was great Ha! Also interesting stuff already with the Willow character, as you said you had an idea for him. I have a feeling I'm not far of, with what I suggested but we will see.

Good opening match. No surprise to see the Wolves win.

Double count out on the second match, was really hoping Rhino would pick up the win but it was not to be.

Willow picks up the win and that's sure to annoy EC3 even more. I can see Ethan now costing Bully Ray his match if there recent rivalry is going to be noted in this booking of TNA.

Big win for Velvet Sky! Nice choice. I couldn't pick a winner but I'm happy you picked Velvet and look forward too seeing how this tournament unfolds now.

Strong words from Magnus, let's see if he can back them up!

Slightly shocked to see Magnus pick up the win. Did not expect that, especially with no outside interruptions from anyone else coming down. A little disappointed with the finish being a count-out but it don't make anyone look weak and shows that Magnus got lucky and didn't beat the Bully clean.

All in all. good first show man, well presented and sure to get better. All matches were informative and good in length with a few surprise finishes too. Nice job G!

    Live blog time!

So we open the show with Kurt Angle. Since he's really injury prone, I reckon keeping him in that position is a good way to keep him in the show- without him getting injured. Firstly, he addresses the tag team titles.

Judging from the roster page- there isn't many tag teams there, and I'm assuming you're not gonna pair Magnus up with Bram? I'm hoping that a team like Team 3D or The Hardy's win- before dropping the title to The Wolves are a decent feud.
Knockouts Championships- I like the idea of a tournament, and there being a battle royal for who gets a bye.

The X-Division Championship- I hope you give the X-Division guys some decent feuds. Excited to see what you do with wrestlers like Sanada & Austin Aries. #PushAries #HintHint

So for the WHC- there's an announcement for a Bound for Glory series. Personally- I'm not a huge fan of the concept, and never have been- but I'm excited to see what you do with it. Hopefully you give the wrestlers some storylines to most wrestlers competing.

The competitors looks good though- hoping that Austin Aries, Eric Young, Bobby Roode & Samoa Joe meet in the final at BFG! That's a match worth dying for.

Great reply from EC3 though- huge fan of him, and you did great. One final thing before I move on- are you thinking about introducing a mid-card title? I'd actual like to see that, as it would help the likes of EC3 & others.

Glad to see The Wolves get the win.

Storm vs. Rhino would be a craaaaaaazy match. First match of the BFG series finishes with a double countout draw- would've liked to see a clean finish, but at least both men don't look weak.

Willow gets the win, I'm not moaning.

So Velvet Sky wins- and gets a bye? That's fair enough- huge win for her.

Dirty finish from Magnus, and he gets the job done. Would've like to seen a different finish other than a count-out though.
Good show though man- but I hope we start to see more storylines developing. Would've also liked to see more segments in the shows in-ring & backstage, but it's still a good start man.

Yea I really liked the format you used, so I kind of copied it Hope you don't mind. If you don't want me to do it like that just let me know.

I kept Angle in the role he currently is in and I don't see myself really changing it in the near future. I've got some good things planned for him in the role so hopefully you'll enjoy them.

You'll just have to wait and see on Willow, I ain't spilling anything, but I do have a plan

    Thanks for the review.

No, no Magnus & Bram pairing, at least not yet, especially with Magnus in the BFG Series

I hope I can make you happy with the X Division Championship Division. As for the hint on pushing Aries, noted, he is in the BFG Series

As for the BFG Series I don't mind it all too much, and I wanted to keep something that was representative of TNA. But I did change it up a bit so I hope you enjoy that.

Thanks for the review, and yes there will definitely be more promos and segments, this show was kind of light on them in order to set things up. As for the finishes to the 2 BFG matches, I should've thought about it more and scheduled it a bit better than having those two matches on the same show, but the result still would've been the same for both matches on any other show, just what I have planned. Hopefully I won't let that happen again.

The midcard championship is something I thought long and hard about. For now I'm not going to introduce one, but I haven't written off the idea completely, it could happen down the line.

Alright so just an update. I was supposed to do two Live Events on Friday and Saturday but my brother ended up having a medical emergency on Friday so I kind of ended up being preoccupied with that, I spent the day at the hospital Friday.

So I was wondering my plan for each Live Event was three matches on each show, should I still go with two or go with one show with 6 matches? And what would you prefer from here on out?
