We are welcomed to Smackdown by Michael Cole & JBL as fireworks go off. They talk about how The Wyatts will face The Usos & Chris Jericho in the main event; RVD will team up with Natalya to face Fandango & Layla; and how we've got TWO WHC tournament matches for tonight, one of them with the US Championship on the line. They hype up how it'll be a great night.
The Usos music hit- as Jimmy & Jey both do their entrance to a nice pop from the crowd. They make their way to the ring with mics. Jimmy says that The Wyatts & The Usos have been at war for months, and months- and yet they act as if they're a real family. He says that family is all about blood, it's all about DNA. Is it really about two people following one leader? Doing everything that one man tells them do? Jey says hell no! He says that The Usos can sense the fact that The Wyatts want gold... as well as The Usos' blood- but they're not taking those titles away from Jey- and that's a guarantee!
However, The Usos are interrupted by the music of Dust to Dust. Goldust & Stardust come out, doing their usual entrance as the crowd are fascinated by it. Both men continue to do bizarre mannerisms in the ring. Goldust says that it was written into the stars last week... that not only did The Wyatts attack The Usos- but they also attacked Dust to Dust. Stardust says that if you take a deep look into the same star... it also says that Dust to Dust aren't letting The Wyatts getting away it. Goldust takes steps back, but furthers his head closer to the tag titles on The Usos shoulders. He says oh... they look ever so shiny- and maybe the day that those pieces of GOLD around The Usos waist- will be returning home sooner than they thought.
As The Usos go to reply- an image of The Wyatts appear on the TitanTron, and we then see Luke Harper & Erick Rowan, with Bray Wyatt on a swinging chair in the background. Harper says that he sees two pairs of heros... two pairs of brothers in the ring. He says that family can be a curse. But in The Wyatt Family's case? It's a blessing. But in that blessing, is an unfortunate consequence for not only The Usos, but Dust to Dust, too. He says that in that blessing, you see bodies scattered everywhere. It's not a pretty sight, but at least The Wyatts don't have anything to worry about. Erick Rowan gets in the way of the camera, and he tells the teams in the ring to RUN as we hear Bray laughing in the background- and we head to commercial.
We're back from commercial as we get a recap of the segment earlier between the tag teams. We see The Miz in the ring- ready for the WHC qualifier match. Big E's music hits, as he comes out to a good reception from the crowd. He makes his way to the ring as the bell rings.
Match 1. Big E vs. The Miz- WHC Tournament Match
Finish: Big E goes for the Big Ending, but Miz manages to break out of the move- and he hits Big E with an SKF! He goes for the cover, and he gets the win.
Miz celebrates his win as we head backstage to see Sin Cara getting ready for his match, and we head to commercial.
We're back from commercial as we see Heath Slater already in the ring. Sin Cara's music hits, as the masked superstar makes his way to the ring for the match.
Match 2. Sin Cara vs. Heath Slater
Finish: Sin Cara hits Slater with a Falling Star to earn the victory.
Sin Cara poses for the crowd after the match as we head backstage. We see Tyson Kidd with Natalya. Kidd asks Natalya why the hell is she teaming up with RVD? She says that she doesn't know, she looked on the match-card, and she was booked to team up with him. Kidd says that it should've been him. Natalya says that she agrees- but she's got a match to be getting to. Natalya walks off as Kidd looks annoyed.
We're back from commercial, as JBL & Cole hype up what's in store for us on Raw- as not only do we have a Draft Lottery to determine which superstars are in each brand, but a new GM for Smackdown will also be announced! They talk about how the concept for this draft, will see superstars being picked by balls as each ball will have a number on it, and those numbers represent a superstar- and it'll take place on the stage. The Authority will represent Raw- whereas the new GM for Smackdown will represent Smackdown of course. Both sides will have 6 turns each to pick a number- and it will happen throughout the night.
The camera cuts back to ringside, as Fandango's music hits. Fandango comes out, and dances with Layla as the pair dance their way to the ring. RVD's music hits, as he comes out to a big pop from the crowd. He stands on the ramp, and Natalya's music hits as Natalya comes out on her own. RVD & Natalya walk down the ramp, and slide into the ring. The bell rings as the match begins.
Match 3. RVD & Natalya vs. Fandango & Layla
Finish: RVD & Fandango are the legal men. RVD hits Fandango with a Monkey Flip- but he turns to the stage, as he sees Tyson Kidd coming out. Kidd walks down the ramp, as Natalya notices this- and she walks up to him. Kidd grabs Natalya's hand, and they walk off as Kidd is still angry- and Natalya can be seen questioning what Kidd is doing.
RVD gets his focus back onto the match- he turns around to an attempted Clothesline from Fandango, but RVD ducks- and spins Fandango around before hitting him with a Dropkick- followed by a Five Star Frog Splash! He goes for the cover, and gets the win.
RVD heads to the back after his win, and Layla checks on Fandango. We head backstage to see Alberto Del Rio with Renee Young. Renee asks Del Rio about his title win at Battleground. Del Rio says that it was only a matter of time before he would win gold again. She asks him about his match against Sheamus tonight. Del Rio says that lightning will strike twice- as he... but he turns around to see Sheamus behind him.
Sheamus says that Del Rio's win at Battleground won't amount to anything, because Sheamus is winning that title tonight- and he'll move onto bigger things. He wishes Del Rio luck out there 'cause he'll need it, fella. Both men stare off as we head to commercial.
We're back from another commercial, as we get a recap of what just happened with Tyson Kidd & Natalya. We head back to ringside, as Rosa Mendes' music hits. She comes out to no reaction, and some whistles from the crowd. Cameron's music hits as the former Funkadactyl member makes her way to the ring.
Match 4. Cameron vs. Rosa Mendes
Finish: Cameron hits Rosa Mendes with Girl-Bye, before pinning her for the win.
After the match, Cameron picks up a mic. She says that ever since the Funkadactyls broke up- Naomi's been acting as if she's the real deal. As if she's the big shot, well she's not. She says that everybody's hyped over Naomi- when Cameron is the one everybody should be drooling over. She's got the looks, she's better than Cameron in the ring- and hell, she even got her own song- which she uses as her entrance, and the song itself is going to be bigger than Naomi's career. She says that Naomi may have beat her at the Battleground pre-show, but Cameron got the final word.
Naomi's music hits- as she looks appaled by Cameron's words. Naomi asks Cameron if she's serious? She asks her is that why the Funkadactyls split up? Because Cameron thought she was the full package, and simply thought she was better than Naomi? Naomi says that this isn't about being the better women. This is more to do with Cameron's jealousy- because she knows that she's lived in Naomi's shadow for two years. She says that whenever Cameron wrestles, the crowd are either silent- or they respond to her matches by shouting "boring." But when Naomi wrestles? It's as if she's a bomb that just exploded- and they cheer her on. She says that when Naomi was about to finally win the big one- Cameron just did what everybody else does, she bailed in jealousy.
This annoys Cameron, who slides out of the ring. Both divas begin to walk up to each other, but the officials manage to get in the way to prevent them from brawling as the crowd chant "let them fight!" as we head to commercial.
We're back- and we head backstage to see Kofi Kingston with Renee Young. Renee asks Kofi how he feels heading into his match on Raw next week to face The Miz. Kofi says that he feels confident- because The Miz' new attitude has given him more fuel to make sure that he gets hit with Trouble in Paradise.
He's interrupted by The Miz though. He says that the only man worthy of being in that match, is of course the man that possesses the "moneymaker" in the WWE. Miz says that Kofi can try and ruin the moneymaker all he wants, but it just won't happen. As The Miz goes to say that he's awesome- Kofi slaps him in the face before walking off, and The Miz doesn't look too happy.
We go back to the ring- as Justin Roberts announces that this match, will be a US Championship Match! Sheamus' music hits. Sheamus comes out for the US Championship Match to a good pop from the crowd. Alberto Del Rio's music hits, as the US Champion makes his way out to the ring too.
