I enjoy the current WWE product in general, although there of course is enough to bitch about. Storylines could've been executed better, I feel they rush things. But I think that, under the start of the HHH reign, there's a bit more focus on the sport wrestling (let me stress this, a bit). Basic wrestling skills, ring psychology and wrestling performance, are more rewarded.
And the general audience doesn't seem to give a crap. That does not amaze me: the fabeled Attitude Era crowd did not skip football for a wrestlingmatch, they did it for the chance that Sable would flash her tits and Austin would wreck a car. I'm glad they focus a bit more on the wrestling now (Shit, that Big Show truck will come back to haunt me), though I would'nt mind some Emmy-winning-storyline-advancement-necessary flashing.
It will be 'fun' to see if the ratings go up when Cena returns. It would be a sad day, but at least I'll be right: the general WWE audience does not give a crap about wrestling. (They never did, not during the Attitude Era, not during the Hogan years, and certainly not during the wrestlingwise best - and ratingwise bad - Hart/HBK years).
