It's simple; will you be watching BFG 2013?
I will be purchasing the PPV. I made a commitment to myself when TNA announced the 4 PPVs this year that I would purchase each of them. I have followed through so far - although I had to purchase Slammiversary after it had already aired - and I haven't been let down yet. When I purchase a PPV, I look at the cost of the actual event and what I expect to see in return for parting ways with my hard earned cash. For the prices of $35.99 (in America), I can see a potential of several high quality matches coming out of this PPV.
Ultimate X is stacked with an all-star match this go round.
Bobby Roode vs. Kurt Angle has the potential to be one of the best matches TNA has seen in a while. After all of the issues that Kurt has been through, I can see him with something to prove in this match. The intensity between the two displayed on Thursday gives me hope that this will be a high quality match.
Magnus vs. Sting - Magnus has been a rising star in Impact for the year of 2013. There is an emotional story involved with Magnus' struggle to prove he is worthy while Sting is trying to help Magnus tap into the potential he sees. With the issues between the two recently, I could see a heel turn for Magnus, but I would love to see if they make this a great match with Sting putting over Magnus before he turns on his former hero.
The Tag Team Title match is iffy due to the Pre-Show match. So long as it is either EY/Park or Bad Influence involved, I would expect this to be a great match. If it comes down to the Texicans or Bro-Mans, my hopes won't be as high.
The Debut of EC3 - This character has much potential. I am interested to see how TNA is planning to use Bateman going forward. While I don't expect it to be a Christian or Kurt Angle debut, the vignettes that TNA have put out have my hopes high for this guy’s debut.
Styles vs. Bully - This is the set up for the new direction that we all have been reading about. The total demise of the A&8s coming about after 2 years and the rise of AJ to the WHC since he lost the belt to RVD in 2010. Styles as the Champion and pointing towards the new direction of where TNA should be heading (in my opinion); that is what I am looking for out of this. Should be an awesome feel good moment to see Styles holding that belt high after a hard fought, no dq match (which if it is half as good as their Last Man Standing match, I will feel I have gotten at least a quarter of my money’s worth.).
So what about you guys? Are you going to watch BFG? Is it worth your hard earned money, is it worth the effort of finding a stream/reading spoiler for, or is it not even worth your time at this point?
