I'd like to see NXT taken more seriously this season. I was not a fan of the divas season. Although I liked Kaitlyn, AJ and Naomi, and thought that AJ and Naomi had alot of wrestling potential, personally I found the rest to just be useless. It didnt help that Cole kept bad mouthing everyone. Then when Season 4 came around I was hoping it would go back to normal. But it still had too much of that joke feel to it. I really like Derrick Bateman, Johnny Curtis and Brodus Clay, but I just couldnt care enough to watch it every week like I did with season 1 and 2.
Part of the problem for me was the choice of pros. To me, they used too many pros who arent being pushed right now, and that had a bad effect on their rookies. When you look at two of the most successful rookies, Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett, you see their pros were Jericho and Miz, both of whom were main eventing other shows, or getting there in Mizs case. Then you look at season 4, and the pros were guys like Ted Dibiase, Chris Masters and R truth. Dont get me wrong, I like these guys, especially Masters, but I found it hard to take the rookies seriously because of it. Dolph Ziggler was good though, and Alberto was entertaining whenever he was around. But they need more established main eventers.
For the next season I'd love to see guys like Edge, punk and even Cena. I know alot of people hate Cena, but having him as a pro could make a rookies career. I dont watch a lot of FCW, but I've heard good things about steamboat and rollins. Maybe they could have Mysterio mentoring another masked wrestler, just to make it different.
Also, I really wish theyd get rid of the silly challenges. I liked the old challenges which at least had something to do with wrestling, like cutting a good promo.
Rant over,sorry about that!
