    "Editorials"

While I respect the site admin for trying to get the users more involved, can it hurt to at least put each submission through a vetting process before being posted? Even the top quality posts (that includes the almighty Matt Boone) read like a basic college English essay. And the worst ones are barely worthy of the regular blog section, if not the regular forum (Andy Raven, I'm looking at you). I mean, really, if this site claims to have any journalistic integrity, and they want the users to be more involved, I would expect the admin to maintain that integrity in editorial section as well; especially if they're to be featured on the main site .

You are preaching to the choir over here, unfortunately this section is totally separate to that one. Try posting your thoughts in the feedback section on the main page. Not that they will listen. Anyone who doesn't like what they post are just "haters" and "trolls" apparently

Yea I guess the word "editorial" makes them classifiable as "news". Yea, ok.

There's zero difference between these 'editorials' and the blogs you get in the blog section here. So I fail to see why a select group of people get to post their 'glorified' blogs in the editorial section, as if to paint them as some amazing journalists or put them on a pedestal above the regular users of the site. I find it a bit condescending and self-righteous to be honest.

But as Rob said, any 'feedback' they receive against their new changes to the site falls on deaf ears, as the only feedback they want to hear is people singing their praises and stroking their egos.
