Agreed from a fellow oldie. Those guys were larger than life to me when I was a kid and we didn't have the internet to spoil storylines. The secrecy towards what was going to happen next always kept you in suspense and guessing. The colorful characters that they had, the managers, the tag teams, Hulk Hogan brother! Those were the days and I believe if I waited until today to start watching wrestling I don't know if I can honestly say that the present product would make me the life-long fan that I am now.
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.
Attitude Era. Yes, there was a ton of shit amongst the good stuff. But it is definitely over hyped for a reason! Up until about 2006, I loved watching wrestling. These days, it's more of a habit.
Before the nostalgia posts come out, i grew up watching the golden era tail end (huge warrior fan as a kid).
For me the Ruthless Agression era is way better then the Attitude era. The RAE saw the rise of the tag team division, kick ass women wrestling, and the rise of legends like Edge, John Cena (You can't deny), and so on. ALso I feel the attitude era was worst for women wrestlers then now. Back then they were mainly used as boner fuel with all the bra and panties matches and stuff. At least now they can wrestle.
