I find it hilarious most of the time. "What?" "YES!" and "NO" are all catchphrases that WWE created. They loved it when they caught fire, and if they annoy any of you, blame Vince and the writing staff. You reap what you sow.
Chanting a wrestler's old name is fine by me too. I laughed my ass off at the "Albert" chants because WWE was trying so hard to get this Tensai guy over. Again, it's their own fault, lame attempts at repackaging guys we've seen before as completley new and unique characters, and they hope we don't notice. It's just lazy. Husky Harris deserves everything he gets. What, he's the new messiah just because? Gimme a break.
Fans can chant what they want because they pay good money for their seats. And besides, wrestling is best when you don't take it too seriously. Also, a crowd engaged in your product, for better or worse, is a crowd engaged.
Your dad will laugh at wrestling, because wrestling is a soap opera that will sell it's own mother to make you tune in, especially the larger than life cartoon characters in WWE. The sooner we realise that the better.
Before the haters kick in, yes I prefer TNA, but that can be just as bad. Joseph Park anyone?
And that's the bottom line......
