    Expanding TNA

Total Sports Asia has announced that they have picked up the rights to carry iMPACT! Wrestling in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, in a three-year agreement via RDA Television. RDA is the agency that handles TNA's global media distribution rights.

The press release lists Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Sting and Rampage Jackson by name and notes that TSA will market TNA and its shows in the region and "expect to significantly increase TNA's previous distribution as well as revenues in the region."

Here is the full press release that Total Sports Asia sent us this afternoon:

TNA IMPACT WRESTLING's television rights will be distributed by Total Sports Asia (TSA) in South East Asia (excluding Thailand). RDA Television, the UK-based sport rights distribution agency that controls TNA's global media distribution rights, has licensed TNA's South East Asian media rights in a three year agreement with TSA.

TNA produces over 200 hours of original programming a year in HD that includes the flagship show Impact Wrestling, 4 main PPV Specials, 8 One Night Only PPVs and also the weekly magazine programme Xplosion. As well as "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan, the TNA talent roster boasts such household names as Olympic Gold Medallist Kurt Angle, "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy, "The Icon" Sting and MMA & Hollywood superstar Rampage Jackson.

TSA who have a long and very successful experience with distributing combat sports in Asia, especially wrestling, will market the brand and its programmes to the region, where they expect to significantly increaseTNA's previous distribution as well as revenues in the region.

TSA's Chief Content Officer, Julian Jackson, said that "having been very successful previously in selling pro wrestling, we know that it works in pretty much every country in the region. It is a sport that transcends religious, racial and regional boundaries to become appointment TV in every country and we are delighted to be working with TNA to really take the brand to the next level of success given the high quality of programming that TNA delivers week in, week out"

Richard Dennis, Managing Director, RDA Television, commented, "We have great confidence that TSA will help drive the TNA Wrestling brand forward in South Asia, and deliver great content for broadcasters throughout the region. We have known and worked with TSA for many years and we're looking forward to this new dimension in our working relationship."

A new international deal is great.... how could TNA make more fans in the USA know about them?????
We all judge others even if it isn't our place to judge, but supposedly at the end we are all judged by one!!!
Wrestling, women and money who could ask for more???

Myself.... expanding with programming... right now with only 2 hours on TV other then that all they have is their youtube page, ondemand which feature orignial interviews, Xpolosion even....
But i do think TNA needs a 2nd show.... Not no Reaction or review show... a 2nd show be it one or 2 hours maybe even another network, be it MTV or CMT or VH1 something that can or could get fans attention..

I'd say they should bring back "wrestling matters" and try and get themselves and their roster more mainstream exposure. It may seem cheap but getting their guys in adverts, on red carpets, doing charity work, in gossip columns is all good coverage and the more the Impact Wrestling name is out there the more people might tune in. This brings me back to "wrestling matters", if TNA are continuing to position themselves as 'edgier' than WWE they need to attract WWE fans who are fed up with PG and who remember the Dudleys, Jeff Hardy, Angle, Anderson etc. Show them that TNA still call matches and put on some great matches too.
Another computer game would help too. Gamers who aren't necessarily wrestling fans can be won over if the game is half decent.

    Divas to believe in.

They need to invest a lot into awareness-building. All they have done in the last 3 years is blow away money on a shitty billboard in Times Sqaure, New York City - hardly a marketing plan. In a perfect world they would either hire a competent marketing team or just outsource it to an agency. However, let's not kid ourselves, they don't have that type of money.

Let not kid ourselves TNA does have that kinda of money they just haven't invested it yet....

Just because Panda owns it, doesn't mean they are pouring money into it ala Sinclair/ROH.

Going into other countries is a great move, but TNA needs to move Impact to a channel with a strong line up. WWE has RAW on USA, which has a lot of great shows around/after it, and other days. USA is a very popular network, because they have a great line up of shows. Burn Notice, Suits, Graceland, Covert Affairs, Necessary Roughness, Psych, etc., etc. WWE has a lot to work with.

TNA has Spike... and Spike doesn't have a strong line up for TNA to build off. I can only name about four-five shows: Tattoo Nightmares, Bar Rescue(My favorite show on Spike), TNA, Bellator, and 1000 ways to die. They should move to AMC(Unlikely) or somewhere that is equally as big, and work with them. Then maybe have a second show on Spike(Similar to WWE having SD on Syfy, another channel with not a big line up)

I'm trying to be number one, why would I settle?
