The fact isn't that the name of a group dictates the group itself. However, the Main Event Mafia was built around the idea of every member being of main event caliber; all members were of this level. Booker, Nash, Steiner, Angle, Sting were all main eventers in their careers. The problem is that the MEM, as a faction, has requirements to be associated with the group. The up and coming talent you are pitching do not meet the requirements of the faction, unless Sting changes the said requirements; to which keeping it named the MEM would be quite silly in my opinion.
I see what you are trying to go with in your thought but I am not a fan of taking the already relevant stable in the MEM and making it be about the "soon to be" main eventers of the future. The idea that you are pitching with it being "new guys" who they are trying to build into the future players while using an established faction sounds far too similar to Russo's "New Blood" version of what the nWo was.
