In 1990, The Rockers won the tag team titles in a TV taping against The Hart Foundation in a 2/3 falls match and later made a successful title defense. However, their reign is not recognized by the WWE, because they never aired the match: The "official" reason given is that the top rope broke halfway through the match and made the work environment unsafe. That actually happened.... but in reality they only won the strap because Jim Neidhart was getting fired, and got reverted because they decided not to let him go after all. Shawn Michaels believes that the Hart Foundation politicked for the reversal though, potentially making this an early example of the real-life heat between Bret Hart and Michaels

The arena chosen for Wrestlemania VII was initially an outdoor stadium - it was changed to an indoor arena because of sniper fears regarding Sgt. Slaughter's Iraqi-sympathiser gimmick during the Gulf war.
Are you serious?! Wow that is sad.

It was also due to the fact that ticket sales were dire, due to the storyline being in such poor taste, so an outdoor stadium would have been out of the question. During this time Slaughter actually wore a bulletproof vest during public appearances.

Austin didnt know he was gonna Face Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 13, he didnt know it was a submission match either till he seen it on Raw when he was home recovrying from a knee injury.....

Steve Austin was soupose to win the WWF Championship at the Fatal Four Way IYH PPV but he blew his knee out which is the reason he had Bret Hart elminate him early.....

Speaking of Wrestlemania 13, the orginal plan was to be Bret Hart vs Shawn michaels.... The ending was Shawn was gonna go for the super Kick Bret would grab his leg and break his ankle (including sound fxs from under the ring) then beat him with the sharpshooter.... Shawn didnt wanna lose to Hart so he made up the Lost my smile speech to get out of it....

When Shawn Michaels was beaten by 9 thugs (it was also said marines and the number was less than 9), Davey Boy Smith and X-Pac was with him but they stood there and watched him get beaten cause they were affraid to get involved so they just stood there and watched.... it was qouted one the reasons that it happened is cause in the words of HHH "him, Nash or Hall wasnt there to protect Shawn" he also said Shawn would always cause trouble at night clubs but no one did nothing cause HHH, Nash and Hall being pretty big guys and people being affraid of them.

Ric Flair Actually lost the NWA World title in pueto Rico to Carlos Colon (Carlitos Father).... The Plan was for Flair to win but the Crowed was so rowdy and getting so out of hand that Flair was afffraid he get killed or shot so he put Carlos Colon's arm on top of him and let him pin him and ran out the building...... The NWA never reconized the Change and they pretended it never happend

Of course Shawn Michaels not wanting to put over Bret Hart but expecting Bret Hart to put him over. Real selfish i'll say. Just saying.

That is just bullshit. More than once, when a major title has changed hands in a wrestling company and it is not aired on tv, they don't show it. Flair had to do what he had to do though I suppose.

I love your sig! I am anxiously awaiting the return of MEM. If they return, I will watch TNA everytime they're on.

Bruiser Brody was, apparently, offered a hundred grand to attack Mr T at Wrestlemania I.

The Iron Shiek was, apparently, offered Twenty Five grand to shoot on Hulk Hogan during their world title match a few months before that.

Verne Gagne, apparently, had money to throw around back then.

The reason DDP had those "Super White Teeth", is because Scott Stiener smashed his old ones with his fist's.

Jerry Lawler still wrestles on the Indy cuircit. Also, He absolutely hates looking weak on Raw, as he feels it hurts his character and it could affect his earnings.

Before he became "The Worlds most dangerous man" in the world of MMA, Ken Shamrock was a pro wrestler by the name of Vince Torelli!

HHH used to carry Nash, Hall & Michaels travel bags.

After a night of heavy drinking, sometime in the early 80's, a miserably hungover and terribly sick, Andre the Giant found himself in a six-man tag match (I forget the federation). At some point in the match, Andre had Bad News Brown on the mat and did a move he'd done many times before. The sit down splash! Upon impact he immediately Shat himself, on Bad News' chest..... Rank!

Vince Russo is a likeable person.

Curt Henning nearly broke Steven Segal's hand, during a chance meeting at an airport. Curt and a few other wrestlers had spotted Segal and had approached him like a bunch of marks! When Curt and Steven shook hands, Steven, trying to prove his dominance over the wrestler, tried to squeeze his hand a bit to hard. Curt, being way stronger than Steven, squeezed back and proved his dominance over the actor.

Abdullah the Butcher used to have razor sharp finger nails, these came in very handy if he ever thought an opponent was taking liberties. A slight grab of the throat gauranteed co-operation for the rest of the match!

During Masato Tanaka and Mike Awesome's awesome match, at ECW ONS 2005, Awesome performed a suicide dive to the outside on Tanaka. After which Joey Styles said "I wish he would commit suicide".... Classy.

Former Pizza Hut executive Jim Herd, who was the then WCW President, wanted to rename Ric Flair. The brilliant name he came up with was Spartacus!!!

The digitised belt that Flair used to carry around on WWF programming, back in 1991, wasn't the WCW World championship. It was one of the WWF tag titles. WCW slapped WWF with a lawsuit for parading their number one "prop" on television. Hence, the digitisation.

Feel free to add to/correct any of the above, as it's from memory. Obviously some of the above cannot be proven, and are story's based on word of mouth.

Lou Thesz wrestled, and lost, his last match at the age of Seventy Two! His opponent was former IWGP Heavyweight champion Masahiro Chono.
