    The Comedy Club

Ok, so my title ideas all suck and I am kinda hoping someone steps in with a better name, but I wanted to start a thread for something that entertains me each and every day throughout work, stand up comedy. A medium that went batshit-insane in the 90s, died a horrible and well-deserved death, and is now coming back strong and happy. First, one of my favorites:

That is one of the first Latino comics to make a huge impact that crossed racial and cultural barriers, also to this day hearing "I know huh" can make me laugh no matter what mood I am in

Now a guy that could be considered his modern counterpart, Gabriel Iglesias:

So, that in mind, who else do y'all like? Bill Burr, Louis C.K., John Oliver, George Carlin? whoever, post a video, lets have some laughs

Say my name and his in the same breath, I dare you to say they taste they same.

    Stand Up Comedy

So, back in the late late 80s to about the mid-late 90s stand up comedy fucking exploded. There were comics everywhere, from Patton Oswalt to Lewis Black to Jeff Foxworthy (who, sadly, outsold both Black and Oswalt) then a funny thing happened, and it was like the accumulation of so many different acts, from the amazingly brilliant to the "Who the fuck films this shit" and back just caused the industry to collapse under it's own weight, and all those shitty comedians vanished, leaving us with those that were able to stand the test of time.

Right now, thanks to guys like Russel Peters, Gabriel Iglesias and Ralphie May we are starting to see another upswing. There are more and more new comedians coming out each day, and Netflix has even taken to filming their own comedy specials, a 'la HBO. As a fan of most standup comedy, this has me really excited.

So, I am creating this thread to share some newer guys, as well as share some old favorites (Can't have a standup thread without the King of stand up comedy, Lenny Bruce)

Without further adieu, here are some comedians I think that a lot of you will enjoy.

John Capurulo. "Meet Cap" is on Netflix, as well as a new one I haven't had the time to watch yet, little bit redneck, really funny guy

Steve Byrne. I believe he has 2 shows on netflix right now as well, both hilarious. This is from the earlier one

This one is one of my personal favorites from the new generation, he has done and is doing a ton to help other good comedians get noticed so they can get TV time. Gabriel Iglesias.
