Drew Mcintyre HAD a very big push at the start of his career but just wasn't over in any way - Even x-pac heat would have been something! He was pretty athletic and had some good showings, but he has no personality. Even Swagger has more personality than Drew, and that's saying something.
McGillicutty - just look up his nxt promo to see how bad this guy is on the mic. Yes, he has the "pedigree" but still hasn't shown anything worth watching. He has name hype that's it right now. And ps, no he didn't train the rock. He "sparred" with the Rock (wrestling equivalent) but they just needed ANYBODY to pretty much take the Rock's moves and to practice the planned routine and spots. Anybody could have done that! They chose him because, let's be honest, they aren't going to pick somebody on the road are they?
The only person there with any kind of entertaining personality is Heath Slater, but let's face it; he's going to be a jobber for life. He's goofy, and I couldn't take him serious. Someone like slater never gets pushed, WWE isn't blind in this regards. If they wanted to push somebody with a similar character, then Santino - the guy is actually pretty well trained in MMA so could be a legit threat with a serious personality.
1. Riley hasn't done anything to deserve a push. He came up, had a nice little feud with the miz then vanished.
