@Tommy Thunder - great opinions on Ted DiBiase, Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd, David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty! Well said, for each!
Thought I'd give a bash at these guys, also.
I was a big fan of his "Fortunate Son" heel gimmick, after Legacy disbanded. Unfortunately, WWE lost faith in him when they expected him to become "Million Dollar Man, Version.2", and Maryse was said to have gotten more attention than he did when they were put together. I would like to see this gimmick put back on him, but with a twist. I recall he had a small feud with R-Truth, who he asked to be his "Virgil" (before the real Virgil briefly came back), and on Raw one night, Carlito (in his final WWE appearance )and Primo attacked R-Truth. When they left the ring, DiBiase came out and handed them envelopes with cash; revealing he paid them off. This gave me an idea I would like to see. Have him reprise the role of the "Fortunate Son", but leave the Million Dollar Belt out of it. Everytime he is scheduled for a match, another heel (mid-card or someone sparingly used) attacks his opponent before the match, or distracts them during to throw them off and give DiBiase the advantage for the win. He dons the name "Untouchable" Ted DiBiase, and even sometimes pays other Superstars to wrestle his matches for him when he feels his opponent isn't "worth his while". This would be a fresh appraoch and I feel Ted could pull it off.
After filming "The Call" with Halle Berry, Otunga returns with his "A-lister" gimmick once again, claiming he's the most famous WWE Superstar on the roster. NXT Diva Sasha Banks (Snoop Dogg's cousin) accompanies Otunga to the ring more often, claiming she is A-list "royalty" and helps Otunga secure wins in his matches. The fact that he is bland in the ring would fuel his heel heat. Soon thereafter, Sasha Banks is seen talking and being friendly with the "Funkasauras" Brodus Clay. Clay claims that since he used to be Snoop Dogg's bodyguard that they have a friendly connection. After many loses with "Tons of Funk", David Otunga and Sasha Banks offer Clay to join them, and go from "Lame to Fame". Clay then shocks the world and attacks Tensai and joins up with the "A-List" team of Otunga and Banks. From there on, Otunga and Clay become a tag team, with Sasha by their side.
A short masked man takes out the Great Khali, week-after-week during his matches. At "insert PPV", Khali challenges the masked man once and for all to come face-to-face (kind of). With his (sigh) "Punjabi Princess" Natalya by his side, Khali is shocked when the masked man, in all black, shows up and reveals himself to be Tyson Kidd. Then, in a shocker (kind of), Natalya low blows Khali. After a diving elbow drop off the rope, Tyson Kidd picks up the shocking win and reunites with Natalya. On Raw, Natalya says she is tired of being a joke. She is the best Diva in the history of WWE. Period. And now is the time to prove it. Tyson then explains that he was trained by Natalya's family - wrestling royalty - in the Hart Family's Dungeon by the "Hit Man" Bret Hart, and he is tired of being overlooked. And since Bret Hart, himself, was known as the "Hitman"; that means he trained Tyson to be an "Assassin" in the ring. He "assassinated" Khali at "Insert PPV", and from now on he will continue to do so. He dons the name "The Assassin" Tyson Kidd. (Yes, I have discussed this idea many a time on this website - I just thinks it's a good idea) lol
Short and sweet. Mike goes by his real name of Joseph C. ('C' for 'Curt" in a tribute to his father) Hennig. He dons the nickname the "Perfectionist", and also claims he is the "Perfect Man". During his matches, he egomaniacally grabs the mic from ringside and tells the crowd "did you see how damn PERFECT that was?". Ultimately, he joins up with former rival "The Assassin" Tyson Kidd, and "The Best Diva Ever. Period" Natalya to become a new team known as "The Perfect Assassins".
After Tyson Kidd turns heel and attacks his former partner, Gabriel, Justin goes out and looks for a brand new tag team partner to take on the new alliance of "The Perfect Assassins". Enter Kofi Kingston. Much like Gabriel, Kofi is an athletic, high-flying, African native looking for success in WWE. This new team known as the "Boom Squad" looks to take WWE by storm with their high flying style. Ultimately, Gabriel grows an ego and turns on Kingston down the road. Crazily, Gabriel begins to think he is literally "God's Gift to the WWE" with his god-given talent. Gabriel dons the moniker the "Archangel" Justin Gabriel. In his war with Kofi, Gabriel aligns with the giant "Prophet of Doom" Ezekiel (drop the last name Jackson) - his former "Corre" ally. Together, they wish to wage a "Holy War" on WWE.
U guys think? My head is swimming with ridiculous ideas haha!
