Watched Bottle Rocket yesterday. It was ok, not the best Wes Anderson movie but I think it was his first. 6/10

I can understand why. It was just a bit off for mine, probably too much Owen C Wilson LOL. I did like the whole thing with Inez and James Caan was good as always. Generally I'm the kind of person who can appreciate a movie that's just a story, that doesn't have to have a "point".

Also, I watched Beasts Of The Southern Wild the other day. I wasn't expecting that! You were right about it though, it did hit home for me.

Yeah, special flick. There's just never been anything quite like it.

I kept wanting to get up and look it up on the net because I was still uncertain about the nature of it, whether it was fictional or not (at first). It was slightly District 9 like in the "did I miss something here, did this actually happen?" suspension of belief and I found that pretty cool. It suckered me in at least. I think I wanted to believe in The Bathtub a bit.

I can't stand Sandra Bullock but Alfonso Cuaron is an amazing filmmaker.

Just re-watched "Bubba-Ho-Tep" with Bruce Campbell and Ossie Davis...man that is a funny and original movie for its time!
