There's plenty of girls I'd rather look at. To me, she's on a Lindsay Lohan level

LOL that's just going too far down the line.

Yeah, that whole dead-in-the-eyes, plastic real doll look does absolutely nothing for me. And it's not as if the other potential candidates for the role, Jane Levy and Anna Kendrick, were ugly or anything, so using the eye candy defense to explain this sort of bone-headed decision makes next to no sense.

I was thinking that Casino Royale was about as good as a Bond movie could get, but Skyfall proved me wrong, rather handily. Just absolutely superlative filmmaking. Sam Mendes was as big of a boon for the franchise as Daniel Craig's casting as Bond. Not only did this make for the best Bond in the history of the franchise, but Skyfall was just flat-out one of the best movies of the year. I'm not even joking. A master class in thinking man's slam-bang, for sure.

Between stuff like this, The Avengers, and The Dark Knight Rises, 2012 may very well be the best year for blockbusters in the history of film.

I though Kendrick was really good in 50/50.

I've seen her in Up In The Air, Scot Pilgrim, 50/50, End of Watch, and Pitch Perfect and thought she was good in all of them. I was especially surprised by her in Pitch Perfect, as that's a movie that I fully expected to hate, but her and the other girls really won me over.

To me, she possesses all of the qualities that I attribute to the character of April O'Neil, and I think she'd be pretty much perfect in the part. I especially like the fact that she's someone I could legitimately buy as a reporter. But Megan Fox? Yeah, that's a friggin' farce. At least I can take solace in the fact that the movie is all but guaranteed to not be good, so Kendrick is probably better off being distanced from the project.

On Pitch Perfect, what was your impression of Rebel Wilson? I think she's really solid - and I mean that in the sense of her talent and charisma.

Either of those girls, Kendrick and Levy would have been much, much, much, much, much better choices for April. (as for looks, I would take Levy ANY DAY over Fox)

I like her a lot, and I think much of that stems from my belief that she'd still be funny even if she weren't fat.

Definitely. She has that hot-girl-next-door thing that I find really appealing. She's believably attractive, whereas Megan Fox looks something that belongs in a videogame cut-scene.

I agree with this, 2012 had something for everyone.

Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, Spider-man, Avengers, DKR, Looper,The Invisible War, Brave, ParaNorman, Frankenweenie, Les Mis, Moonrise Kingdom, Amour, Skyfall, Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, Django, etc.

I doubt 2013 will come close.

Also Zero Dark Thirty stars are starting to pick up some big roles. Chris Pratt got the role of Starlord in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Jason Clarke is going to be in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
