The problem with Evil Dead as a trilogy is continuity. Or lack of. ED2 is for all intents and purposes, a remake of ED1 with a budget. ED1 is also very demanding on the viewer not used to sitting through such long stretches of boring dialogue and non-events. And I'm a fan! You can easily get away with skipping the first one and watching Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn & Evil Dead 3: Army Of Darkness. Watching the first one is more like a labor of love for fans of the franchise, Sam Raimi and/or Bruce Campbell.

Yeah, "so dirty, must get clean" is exactly what I'm talking about. Kind of like after Ace Ventura put that whole Finkle and Einhorn thing together.

Hey what's wrong with Star Wars akbar?
I can't stand it, I try my best to watch it but the film gets worse and worse every time I view it. The film is just mad boring and none of the soace shit fascinates me one bit like it does for so many people. I don't know, maybe it's just the era I grew up or something.

It might help to know that I hate almost every Sci-fi film, although I appreciate 2001:Space Odyssey for its production and direction.

But if you've already seen them, what do you need me to recommend them to you for? Just watch a trilogy you like.

That's great and all, but the Elm St. flicks aren't a trilogy, and I thought that's what you were looking for.

Then again, there are only like 3 of them worth watching out of the ten or so that they made, so I guess you could kind of assemble your own trilogy or whatever. Still, though, we seem to be moving goal-posts.

I know. He tries his hand from time to time but the guy is a TV actor through and through. Which is fine.

I know all of this, but I was just trying to come up with something a little more interesting than, say, the LOTR movies or the Matrix or whatever other stuff that most everyone has already seen.

You refer to Star Wars as if it's one movie. Which parts of the franchise are you referring to or do you mean all 6?

You want to know boring sci-fi movies, try watching Star Trek: The Motion Picture or The Black Hole
