If it had ended after the revelation that

That's the beauty of east Asian cinema for me.

13 Assassins. That shit is my fuckin' joint right there!

But, what was up with the Koyata character? At first I thought he's some sort of allegory for the Devil, that journeys as the 13, but then I realised they're Japanese, and probably wouldn't have many Christian religious themes, (apologies, I'm pretty unenlightened with Japanese religion, but maybe they have a sort of Devil equivilent?). Did some web dicking, people have said some of these things: some sort of demon; a depiction of the Monkey God; the physical conscious of Shinrokur┼Ź; or just immortal? Loved it ,though.

I didn't even pick up on that while watching it. Legit badass film though, could actually feel my balls producing more testosterone while watching it. Miike rules.

Speaking of Miike, he's only went and done an adaptation of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, innit? What a lad.

    The Dark Knight.

No matter how many times I see this movie it doesn't get any less awesome.
I'd rather have nothing than have a lie.

Seen the top one, though it was great...I'll check the Food Inc one now.

Trying out a MUBI free-trial. They mostly offer mega artsy foreign films for streaming, but there's also stuff like Sin City, Battle Royale and Good Will Hunting too.

    Maborosi (1995) - 6/10
Tropical Malady (2004) - 8.5/10 (INCREDIBLE second half, top notch Thai film)
    Love in the Afternoon (1972) - 7.5/10
    Padre Padrone (1977) - 6/10
