The It Factor the Bobby Roode Factor

According to Jason Powell of ProWrestling.Net , Bobby Roode's TNA contract "recently expired." This would explain the Tag Team Champion's absence from the two most recent "iMPACT" episodes.

Powell claims there is "talk in the locker room [that] talent relations head Bruce Prichard mistakenly allowed Roode's contract to expire." Further, Powell cites a source as saying that Roode himself was left to bring his contract expiration to the attention of TNA.

Roode and his tag team partner Austin Aries are scheduled for a title defense tomorrow night at the "Lockdown" pay-per-view event. According to Jason Powell's report, Roode's status for the event is in doubt.

As shown here and reported on the main news board, supposedly his contract has expired or came up over the past few weeks.... I don't know if they resigned him yet, or if all just talk and that his status is being kept secret??? Another thing to question what will this do to the TNA tag title match, will Aries go it alone or will Roode be there???
If they don't or hadn't resign I think it is one of the biggest mistakes TNA could make...
    what do ya'll think??

I thought I had read that around the time they made him champ they reportedly signed him to a 5 year deal. Obviously, this wasn't the case. Could be a work but I don't know what it would achieve. I think WWE would sign him if they could but then wouldn't know what to do with him. Hoping he re-signs with TNA.

What makes you think that wwe wouldnt know what to do with him? He reminds me of hhh quite a lot. I can see him being used in a manner similar to corporation hhh or evolution hhh. And i think he would pull it off very well.

I hope it is a work...Bobby Roode is one of the best TNA Original Superstars...TNA cannot afford to lose him n he too can't lose TNA because he'll be grossly wasted in WWE....

Oh the similarities between him and HHH are so many, it's quite hilarious really. What I think is there are indeed many ways that WWE would get him over but they wouldn't, they would choose something ridiculous for him. That's my most likely scenario. HHH's character was fortunate enough to catch a few breaks (playing politics) and he was given the opportunity to *ahem* evolve away from Hunter Hearst Helmsley (thank god!). I just can't see WWE using Roode as effectively as TNA could, if he were coming in cold. Look at Del Rio - he's a perfect example. I'm not saying it couldn't happen....but I'm afraid we'd see Roode in a gladiator outfit. I believe WWE would steer well clear of any prior gimmick themes he has used.

He would be great in the WWE if he would go there, if they use him correctly...... At least a strong mid-card wrestler/title holder.... Yeah he very similar to Triple H in character and move sets.... I think right now it would be better to stick or stay with TNA where he can offer his veteran expertise of being with the company for most of the 10/11 years... Besides right now he is part of one great tag team with him and Aries...

It will have to be a good reason for him to go to the WWE.... Sure the money will be great, probably better.... But if the sign him and send him to FCW/NXT that will be a set back IMO a direct signing to the main roster would be right IMO..

This is a shame but from what i have seen its Bruce Prichard's fault that this happened.

How the hell do you forget to renew the contract of one of your friggin champions?
I'd rather have nothing than have a lie.
