    Road Dogg or Billy Gunn?

Simple thread premise is simple. As many of you know, Road Dogg "Jesse James" and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn were a tag team known as The New Age Outlaws, a team that ran its course from 1996-2001. Along the way, they were tag team champions a total of five times. Now, there's something I've noticed about this tag team that normally doesn't happen with a lot of famous tag teams; there was no Michaels. There was no Jannetty. Looking back at what they accomplished, I see the both as equals career-wise. Of course, their mic skills and ring skills differ but that's the only real aspect of entertainment that made them so different from one another. Therefore, the decision to decide who's best should be fairly challenging, right?

Anyways, just vote for you winner and tell us all why you picked who you picked.

Road Dogg. Always been a fan of the Armstrongs and their style of wrestling. Road Dogg had such a good bit of talent on the mic as well but seemed to always be shadowed by Billy Gunn for his "looks". Billy was the guy that was given every chance to excel (and has one of the most winning records on RAW at #6 behind The Rock with 128-79-16 for a +49 difference) where as Road Dogg was more reliable as a talent who could get the job done in the ring and on the mic. Road Dogg will forever be remembered as a Mid-Carder or Tag Team Specialist, but he will allways be remembered for "Oh You Didn't Know?!" and his moves like this...

Loved both these guys, and since there is no HBK or Jannetty it just shows how good they were as a tag team.

I would go with Billy Gunn though, was always impressed with his strengh as a kid, I always liked him more when it came to single competition too.

I voted for Billy Gunn, he may not have the superb mic skills of Road Dogg but I enjoyed his wrestling ability and sheer power.

Billy Gunn for in ring ability. RD obviously owned the mic. I did find him a bit bland in the ring, although his selling is top notch. There's not much that separates the two when it comes to overall score of what each brings to the table.

Poor Jannetty. I had such high hopes. (does that mean that the R&R Express were BOTH Jannetty's?)

Going Road Dogg for the reason that from what I've heard he doesn't write down or practise his promos and just does them, or so Billy Gun says, that's just a gift.

Well known fact that Billy always took it more serious than Road Dogg.

I had to vote for Road Dogg. Billy was given so many opportunities to get over and could never get the crowd to like him. To me he was always clueless on the mike and it didn't intrigue me that he focused on his ASS so much, it was quite a turn off. Road Dog was at least able to get a bit over even as JJ's sidekick and proved he can rock the microphone (especially when the New Age outlaws kicked it), but he was a formidible hardcore champ and seemed to have a great work ethic and his family background going for him and most importantly he always looked like he was having fun in the ring.
