Its on ebay for like £27 but for 90 odd episodes that are 40 minutes each its a good buy. It says you can use it on all euro dvd players but i dont have that kinda money to take a guess if that makes sense.

No europeon release date as of yet

Yeah, may have to look into that, does it cover the whole period from the Yellow Turban Rebellion to the Jin dynasty taking control?

Dude, what is the deal with you constantly using "American" as a descriptor for the shows you watch? Are you using it as a pejorative or what? I've noticed it to be a recurring theme, and I'm just sort of curious as to what that's all about.

M8 dont get me wrong 99% of the tv shows i like are American but Pacfic is very much American BUT! i belive i feel this way because WE(the british) didnt have anything to do with the pacific war really and we didnt learn about it in school.

Yes the acting is rather good and the Battle scenes are amazing BUT its alot like everyone h8s the american and poor poor america. Sorry if i insulted anyone but this is how it comes across and its the main reason why it was SLATED by the British critics.

I think I know exactly what you mean by "very American" - haven't seen The Pacific, but I thought the same about Band of Brothers - but I can't for the life of me explain in actual words what this criticism actually means. Sort of... overly sentimental and yet difficult to feel attachment with any of the characters? I don't know.

I'm planning to get round to finishing the Berlin Alexanderplatz miniseries. I started watching it back in March and thought the first few episodes were incredible. It's a true work of art, and could perhaps be an even better miniseries than Bergman's Fanny and Alexander or even Kieslowski's Dekalog.

But I can't stop watching Seinfeld.
