Yeah, they subverted things pretty nicely with that ending, which could have even worked as a series finale had the show not been renewed.

Missed the premiere of Under the Dome this past Monday.... Anything Stephen King writes or creates is worth watching...
We all judge others even if it isn't our place to judge, but supposedly at the end we are all judged by one!!!

I've never seen any of the Hannibal films so I'm curious in what direction next season will go. Mad Men also had great finale, so now I have nothing to watch until a certain show returns in August.

Even if you had seen them, I don't think it would matter too much; the show is more of a re-imagining of Thomas Harris' books than it is a re-imagining or extension of the adaptations of his books. And the show probably isn't even going to get up to when Clarice Starling comes on to the scene (a la Silence of the Lambs), which is the material most people are familiar with.

I do think there's a chance they'll deal with the Frances Dolarhyde stuff from Manhunter (and Ratner's shitty remake, Red Dragon) in the next season or two, though, but they'll probably have done so much to the story that it will practically be an entirely new thing.

So is this the last we've seen of Will?

His thing of re imagining the crime scene was brilliant and nicely filmed.

No. He's the star of the show.

Oh I see, you know I might actually check out Silence of the lambs and all the other films because I'm that intrigued by the Hannibal character.

Why haven't any of you told me that Beast Wars was on Netflix?!
I'd rather have nothing than have a lie.

Manhunter (with Brian Cox as Lecter) and Silence (with Anthony Hopkins in the role, of course) are the only ones really worth a damn. But they're both classics, so definitely check 'em out.

Oh, and there isn't enough praise I could heap on Sundance's new original series, Rectify, which is about a guy released from prison after spending 19 years on death row. It's sort of a slow-burning character study, so I doubt that's it's going to appeal to a lot of people here. But for those willing to give that kind of thing a chance, I think they'll find one of the most fascinating and complex stories being told on television. Fantastic writing and an ace cast, too.
