So, there's gotta be this right?

    And of course this -

Met these guys and they were very gracious. Their second album, The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion is quite simply put, one of the best albums I have ever heard. Even without the knowledge of the fact that they had scrapped all original material to rewrite, rearranged and rerecord the whole thing in 12 days - so the story goes - this album is some bloody cool blues tunes, let me tell you. It will forever be in my top 10.

I love the Black Crowes. And strangely enough, this song is a real panty-dropper:

Hope nobody minds if I throw some Rollins Band in the hat since to me they are essential if you want to talk about 90's music.

seriously, that is the weirdest part about this song, I mean. here is a sample of the lyrics

    She don't know no lover
    None that I ever seen
And to her that ain't nothing
But to me it means, means everything

She paints her eyes as black as night now

    Pulls those shades down tight
Yeah she gives a smile when the pain comes
The pain gonna make everything alright
seriously, only like 23% of the population or so is gonna at all be excited about pain, yet this song seems to have a constant effect. It makes no sense

    or

It's a song about a woman who is insane, and dies alone, that song makes people worry about their own deaths, and just how alone those could/would be, that, in turn, triggers an emotional neediness that is both immediate and profound, which in a "date" or similar setting, is typically turned towards physical closeness, and then sexual desire, essentially all out of a fear of dying alone.

Or I could be overthinking things.

Say my name and his in the same breath, I dare you to say they taste they same.

I kinda miss all the angry chick bands the 90's created.
good or bad, they were different.

    bands like Jack Off Jill

    or Kittie

    It provided something different

also, and on an entirely different train of thought
