Welcome back to another exciting edition of Inside the Tights, the only cross fed talk show in existence. First off let me give a warm welcome back to TBOZ, K-Jammin and Elder, hope to see you guys here a lot longer. This week we have a real treat for you since our guest is royalty. Let's get ready to go Inside the Tights with Kingstrem!
Welcome to the show and its great to have you on. First off tell the viewers a little bit about your characters and positions here.
Well the one and only character I have here is in EWNCW; His name is King Strem. King is a mixture of a few people. He has the mic skills and arrogance of CM punk. He's got charisma like Ric Flair. And when it comes to being physical, I see him somewhat like a ken shamrock, he's not big, but he is strong and he can snap at any moment. King always thinks he is better than anyone. He doesn't believe in losing. King's claim to fame right now is that he has been the EWNCW International champion for 13 months. Making him the longest reigning champion in EWNCW.
Although that is my only character, I am also a creative writer for EWNCW. Together, with TheJosephBanks (Or Rilla), we write the inferno shows almost everyone comes to love. I have been writing for a little over a year and it's been a blast doing it so far. It does get tiresome sometimes and it can cut into your personal life, but it is all fun and I have not had a complaint with it.
So with a lot of users putting their characters in other feds, have you thought about taking Strem to another fed here?
Honestly, I have thought of putting Strem through other feds. My main one being JBW since it had a new upstart. But there is one reason I don't and I'll explain. I had a character in wwe e-fed, Batista. I was very excited to work THBK and Destruction and G.G.G. I started off fine, but then I got busy in my actual life. I am a full time college student who plays lacrosse for his school and is getting close to graduating within the next year. On top of that, I had my character in EWNCW and was writing for the show. After a little while, I felt that I would not be able to give my best to the Batista character, so I dropped him. So when I think of putting Strem through another fed, I think of all of that and pushes me back. Does that mean I will never join another one? Who knows, things change.
One of the most impressive and highly praised things happening in EWNCW is Strem's title reign, what do you think helped bring that achievement to such a high level and what are your thoughts on it?
I have held the title with my character for 13 months. It is hard to hold any title through 2 pay per views. So looking at my reign would have to be impressive. I have been put up against some great users, Eboy, Chunky, Kash, and basically the way I see it, to come out on top, your promo's, your In character monologue, has to be the best. I thrive to go back and forth with users such like these guys and to come out on top with them is prestige to me. Looking at the character's run, all that he has done is pretty spectacular. However, I feel that not many people outside of EWNCW well understand the value of that. I don't think they understand how hard I work. I don't to say I am great, but I come in each day and do what I can to make sure my character is still one of the best. I don't think some people see that just because I am stuck to one fed, and that is ok. I like being to the one feud and doing great things than having a bunch of other characters in other feds.
What are your thoughts on the recent changes to the EWNCW format and what do you think of tag teams coming back to the main shows?
Well if you are talking about the shows and everything I think it is great. I am upset we had to lose brutality and Warzone but I think having two action packed shows along with TWE is great. As far as I see it from a creative stand point, I think we have one of the best staff in the E-fed, each one of the writers have a vast knowledge of writing matches, and A lot of them, Grind and TheJosephBanks/Rilla mostly, have a way of painting out an ending to you. When I read a match of their's, it is almost like I am in the arena, front row, watching the said match. We all pull our own weight, and when any unforeseen issue comes up, we all can step up and work together to resolve the issue. The only thing that I hate is we have a fluid schedule, meaning we will post a show, say inferno, on thursday, but it may come as late as sunday because we have to wait on things. This is not a huge problem though I believe because I am sure every fed has to deal with this.
Do you keep up with any of the other shows around and if so what have you found most interesting?
Honestly, no. I glance at a show from WWE fed here and there but I do not religiously watch it, same with JBW. I am very busy outside of this world, I go to school full time, I work, I play college lacrosse and I am a captain for that said team, I volunteer, and I coach. I don't want that as an excuse but I come on here, read the shows in EWNCW, do my assignment stuff given to me, IC a little back and forth, then I am gone. This is not me saying that I hate any other fed, I don't, from what I read I actually love the other shows, it's just like I said, I come in, do what I need to do, and go. I find JBW interesting because it is changing, the old JBW is gone and the new guys came in and cleaned it up, now I hear it's closing and that is a shame, I hope they have a change of heart with it. WWE Fed is interesting in the fact that you can have dream matches, people from different brands, companies, eras, facing each other in big company. I would have loved to have stayed on with Batista if time permitted
What are your goals for Strem this year and is there anyone you are looking to work with?
My main goal for strem is to win it all, be the EWNCW champion, but that is just the little thing. I want great rivalries, I want matches that people adore to read. I just want to make EWNCW a must read for everyone.
