    Exclamation UFC 153: Results/Standings!

This was a great show for the UFC. One of the big reasons was the number of "good finishes" as opposed to acting like finishes are good just because they happened. These were finishes of good fighters in good fights and completely memorable. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Rony Jason, Jon Fitch and Erick Silva each earned $70,000 bonuses for their performances at Saturday's "UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar" event. Nogueira won the "Submission of the Night" bonus, Jason earned the "Knockout of the Night" award, and Fitch and Erick picked up "Fight of the Night" honors. There is no other way to put it. In the pantheon of great fighters, all boxers and mixed martial artists, Anderson Silva belongs in the same breath as any of the greats. He moved up to light heavyweight to save an event, took on a man who has never been stopped (other than on cuts) and made his larger foe look like a fool. It was fun to once again pull for "chaos" via a Bonnar win, but the reality is that Silva was simply eight different degrees of better than Bonnar. Now on to the results.

Congratulations FLWWEFan for winning the UFC 153 Prediction Contest by a huge margin!! Robstar my man, not only did you pick Bonnar on a long shot, but you also seem to have been treated like Bonnar was also - KO in the very first round. Ouch!! Well there's more to come yet so you'll have plenty of chances for revenge upon that akbar who passed you in the Overall Contest by just 43 pts. Van's still holding strong at 3rd place as trips starts to creep up on me. FLWWEFan is creeping up on magglis who forgot to enter, (along with a few others). Good job everyone and the next contest will be UFC: Macao; Saturday, November 10 - Macao, China (Rich Franklin vs Cung Le).
