    Top Star vs Vinnie Mac?

This was posted on LOP, as you'll see.

So, who do you think it was and what do you make of it?

Personally, for Vince to reportedly react like that[see below], it has to Punk or Cena, I think.

    - As we have noted, Vince McMahon was upset at last night's RAW and told the writers that he needs results now or he needs resignations. The scene was described as frightening in terms of Vince's tone and demeanor. Besides pressure from NBC Universal to fix the ratings, it's said that last week's 2.5 rating was a big slap in the face to Vince after a number of top talents voiced their concern to him.

A number of top talents have reportedly gone to Vince in recent weeks to complain about how the writing is bad and change is needed. At last week's RAW, Vince was in a bad mood after having a back-and-forth with one of the top talents in front of other people.

We have not been able to confirm who the top talent was but they basically told Vince in front of other people that the WWE writing sucks, that Vince is doing whatever he wants and that WWE is going off a cliff without anything being done about it. The talent then told Vince that he needs to listen to everyone else because he doesn't have his finger on WWE's pulse anymore, basically telling Vince that he's out of touch. The talent told Vince that when WWE goes to "hell in a handbasket" then it will be all Vince's fault.

Apparently several other people got through to Vince during the week and these factors played a big part in the changes made at RAW last night. As noted, expect to hear about more changes in the next few weeks.

If it was Cena, then this is the closest we'll get to a Cena heel turn.

Well, I can only see this top star either been Cena or Punk, Cena as he is bulletproof, Punk as I think he genuinely cares about the business and isn't just a yes man.

To me that seems to be the main problem with WWE, the fact Vince has surrounded himself with yes men.

well i think there is more top guys than cena and punk, maybe those two are the top dogs right now, but perhaps what they meant with top guy is someone in the main event, and it could have been anybody, from daniel bryan to sheamus or punk or orton or kane, or mysterio or any other top guy

Thankfully, you know Punk on a personal level and know he's not a "yes man".

i would put money on kane.

glenn jacobs is the longest tenured regular performer, a backstage leader, one of the most respected guys in the locker room, has job security, and based on reports very intelligent.

vkm probs has a great deal of respect and vice versa, so he would be able to get away with speaking up.

either that or trips if he was pissed off about something and went off, which is also very likely.

I don't see how something that happens backstage like this, if it was Cena, translates to a Cena heel turn.
Turning Cena heel doesn't make any sense in any shape or form at the moment given that he's the biggest merch shifter in WWE. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot economically-wise by turning him heel.

    IMO, it was Punk.

I think he was joking, TT.

Anyways, I'm guessing it's Punk, too. Cena has no real reason to complain. Would you if you were in his position. I'd say Orton, since he's a top star, but he's clearly in the doghouse as of late so I'm pretty sure he wouldn't risk getting punished.
