Here's some background. I grew up in the late 70's and was a Rock "N" Wrestling kid. I'm always a little biased to those days. NWA, WCCW, AWA. My brother was a AE kid. Men during that era got real desensitized, because of the Jerry Springer type douchebaggery that was going on. The AE happened cause there was legitimate competition between WCW and the WWF. They kept both pushing the envelope and trying to out shock factor each other cause they both wanted to put the other out of business, and they were watching ECW and trying to copy it on a national stage IMO. Since there is no current great threat to the WWE, in the public image best interest, they went back to PG IMO.
I don't "hate" John Cena. I argue with LaDouche all the time about Cena. I am not a Cena fan. He's too corney and bland for me. But, he does what he does and sells merchandise and tickets. The conversation usually goes as follows:
Bro-I hate Cena he needs to die!
Bro-Cause he sucks! He only does 5 moves! He's ruining wrestling!
Me-Hulk Hogan only had 5 moves.
Bro-But that was okay for your ancient time, but not for today.
Me-Must be okay for today, cause look at where he is at now.
Bro-He must be blackmailing someone. Prob has a pic of Vince in a goat orgy or something.
LaDouche is a Bret Hart Mark. I am a HBK mark. He hates HBK. We take shots at each other all the time, by me sending him random HBK SCMing Bret and he sending me Ultimate Warrior beating my childhood hero Hulk Hogan crap.
I jumped on the Austin 3:16 wagon while he was feuding with Bret. Then after Bret left LaDouche became a Rock fan and we had fun rooting against each other, Austin vs Rock BABY! Then the Rock left and my bro was all about Kurt Angle. HBK came back, so I was all over that. Now he's a huge CM Punk fan, so naturally I jumped on the Daniel Bryan ship. YES YES YES!
We both feel the same way about Sting. I'm not taking anything away from him, but he never excited me. I never bought a PPV or bought a ticket, just because of Sting. The ONLY time I was somewhat interested in Sting is when he finally wrestled Hogan. I got the PPV and the match was crap and ended bad because of a botched leg drop. Just my opinion, folks.
He was real good Cali Indy manager. He took some brutal lumps. We had to roll his unconscious carcass to the back more than a few times. And he got banned from preforming in a entire town, because he pissed off the community when he was preforming. He got escorted to the town limits, ala Y2J Brazil...LOL. He prefomed with some B/C list wrestlers, such as Gangrel, Chris Kanyon (RIP) Big Poppa Pump and some others.
So have fun peeps.
