Thread: Could this be?

Don't look too much into it like Krysys said they are just acknowledging him for his time spent in WCW.

Remember the last time there was a "tease" of Sting joining the WWE? It reached around 147 pages on EWN!
Long story short, I'm guessing that he won't be debuting any time soon, if ever. Hes likely been put on the website to garner more attention, as Vince has been using more and more social media in an attempt to keep up with the times. Plus, if he was returning, why would they put his profile on the site? I think it would be better kept as a surprise.

this is just a stunt to try to play off of his name to get page views

^^^^ This!! The WWE likes to brag and they are running out of stuff to bait their older and newer viewers. Sting is simply a ploy to get more views. But in the past the Alumni section was for people who would either potentially jump, had talks with WWE at one point, people the WWE wants back, and great Wrestlers who passed away for the company. I am not actually sure what to think of the alumni section beyond that because I once saw Jack Black's "Nacho Libre" character in that section.
Hey.. I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.

They always feature Sting's image on Vintage Collection. Maybe this is WWE gearing up for Sting vs UT at WM30, getting the kiddies familiar with him

More than likely TNA asked them to put Sting on their alumni section with some past videos. Either that or they asked for some old footage and were rejected, but ended up negotiating like this instead; so TNA fans that never got to watch WWE can now see some of his past on wwe.com AND WWE.com gets extra unique views. Plus, WWE might pinch a few fans who end up staying on the site looking at other pages.
It probably has something to do with the Flair deal, but that's as far as it is going in the near future.

Whether TNA realizes this or not, WWE is sort of making money from their stars. The reason for Hulk and Sting's profile pages is because when people search for them those pages will show up early in Google searches. More traffic, more ad revenue.
    Purely business.
