I find that it's just another over used phrase. It is something that really only refers to about one pass a generation. And not every generation has to have a torch passed. Hogan to the Rock was important, but there really hasn't been a pass since then. If the rock was going to pass a torch to Cena it should ahve been a few years ago. When Cena was ascending to the top and it could have been the final step in becoming the man. He is already the man, so a torch pass is unnecessary.
