So we now know that Rusev will go one on one with 'The World's Strongest Man' Mark Henry at Night of Champions, in the latest chapter of 'America vs Russia'.
I think it's a foregone conclusion that Rusev wins this as the next stepping stone in establishing him on the main roster. But my question is, what's the end game with all this? How long will WWE continue with the America vs Russia storyline? How many more guys will they feed to Rusev before giving him his first pinfall/submission loss? Who are the guys left for him after Henry? At the end of all this, what level will Rusev be considered at in the totem pole of WWE?
Going after Sheamus and the US title is something that will surely happen, it's easy to see them having Rusev beat Sheamus for the titl to give him more heat.
I've heard that there's plans for Big Show vs Rusev at some point, which would be a nice acomplishment for the Bulgarian/Russian to have on his CV, but with the America vs Russia story rumbling on, can people see WWE eventually pitting John Cena vs Rusev at some point in the future? The ultimate American hero? Cena will need something to do for a few months once he moves on from Lesnar and the title, so going against Rusev would be one idea to keep him occupied for a while, if that's the kind of level that WWE want Rusev to be at. Chances are that Cena will be the one to beat Rusev though, since I can't see them having Cena tap out to Rusev.
