The Wii is probably dying out on account of, um, there not being anyone left to sell one to. And considering that it's essentially a last gen system, it's remarkable that it's lasted this long and been as successful as it has. And remember, unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo was pocketing actual profit from the very first piece fo hardware they sold; it took the competitors a couple of years to get in the black on the consoles.
Nintendo also still has a chokehold on the dedicated portable front, too- that 3DS price cut completely invigorated the system, so much so that it has already surpassed the original DS' first year sales figures- so I don't think it's all doom and gloom for Ninty quite yet.
