Here is my personal problem. In my personal experience, nonwrestling fans are the hardest people to get into the heads of. They are extremely closed minded and obsessed with sports being "real". If you try to tell them who your favorite wrestlers were or how good a match was or how cool a spot was, prepare for the "fake" and "gay" comments to shoot at you like a broken fire hydrant. With that being said, the only two I would pick are John cena and Brock lesnar.
brock lesnar for the obvious reason that he fought in ufc
As for John cena, I recently had a friend of mine, who despised wrestling, go to the tlc ppv. When I asked him about it, he said he didn't like it because it was too loud. (I know right? -.-) but when I asked him who his favorite wrestler was, he said John cena because he is big, strong, and relates even with people who don't like wrestling at all. (Also his dad was a marine, so he literally said to me "John cena was a marine, so I like him".)
so I'm going with these two, just based on personal experience with non wrestling fans
No one small.
It'll be incredibly hard, I think, to show them someone who looks like they would have gotten bullied in school to show a non-fan how good wrestling can be.
I'd go with someone like Roode, Cena, Storm, Sheamus, people like that.
His matches feel real, everytime I show a non wrestling fan his matches the first response is "Wow he is white" followed by "I thought this was fake, wrestling is pretty cool"
I usually show his indie stuff but he is making a good name for himself in WWE so I will put him down here. People love watching those beautiful uppercuts.
He is a full time name that even the casual fan recognizes, I show him just because he is someone that can help bring familiarity while people catch up.
He is another guy with that real fight feel that people seem attracted to now.
Just for when people want to be blown away by a high flyer.
No one. That would mean informing the general populous that I watch wrestling. :D
Which in today's time would lead to "oh you watch wrestling? Then I can't talk to you anymore."

When I say I'm a wrestling fan, I always mention that "I'm not the guy who thinks it is real. It is a Soap Opera for guys that I can watch with out having my manhood be in complete question." They generally leave me alone after that.
As far as wrestlers I'd show the person who might watch:
CM Punk: The go to heel. The thinking mans wrestler. If you were gonna give anyone who has the charisma to carry the mic and wrestle. He is it. It is even scarier when you pair him up with another talker in Paul Heyman.
John Cena: Name recognition. He is the guy you want to show off for everything he does outside of the ring. Work ethic with him is everything. I might not like his wrestling style (Mostly because he doesn't have one.), but he is the guy I would hold up as a standard.
Austin Aries: Reckless high flier that is also believable as a World Champ. He is strong enough to lift a guy as big as Bully Ray, and excels on the mic. TNA has no idea what they actually have in him.
Bubba Ray: The standout of the Dudley Boyz. He has it all, but also looks like the every guy. He can execute in the ring and has a way on the mic that seems effortless.
I only have 4. But I don't care. These are the current guys I'd hold up from each company.
probably throw a Kaitlyn vs Eve match aswell.
Top 10 in WWE right now
I thought it would be fun to create my own WWE Power Rankings. Mind you I haven't read the official ones in years so I'm sure some of these are controversial to some of you.
10. Del Rio- Hate the guy but he's still champion, edged out Ryback and Jericho, Orton, and Kane.
9. Brock- No TV time needed. His last appearance resonates.
8. Dolph- Wish he was closer to one, needs a big win in 2 weeks.
7. Sheamus- He's on fire, no wait that's just his hair.
6. The Shield- Losing a bit of steam, although there's a lot going on right now to overshadow them.
5. Christian- Questionable top 5 pick, but I find him more entertaining than most.
4. Mark Henry- Another disputable pick. Disappointed at the declining interest in this feud, but he's still number one contender and I want his t shirt from Raw.
3. John Cena- Sorry but I went as high as I could without blood coming out of my ears.
2. CM Punk- I like the direction in which he is going. I turned against him in the latter part of his last title reign but I like the face turn a lot.
1. Daniel Bryan- Tough to argue this one. He's still going strong and has the crowd eating out of his hand. Leading favorite in the All Star MITB.
I'm sure I'll change my mind on some of these later...Feel free to dispute these and create your own power rankings.
Good list, agree with your number 1. Im glad you didnt put Ryback in, he doesnt interest me whatsoever. Never been a fan of his. Christian is questionable after only just coming back from a long lay off.
