Location: Oakland Colosseum; California
Tenay: Hello everyone, and we're hot of the heels of one of the greatest Summerslam's in recent memory. Mike Tenay and Eric Bischoff here, and everyone's got one thing on their mind, and that's the Miz.
Bischoff: And he's not awesome. He attacked Edge randomly, when he was putting the boots in Tyson Kidd – who somehow – is still World Heavyweight Championship.
Tenay: And he will go on to Money in the Bank to defend against Brock Lesnar: he triumphed over Mr. Anderson in a number 1 contenders match, and those 2 will tear the house down in a few weeks.
Bischoff: We also had Lita and Undertaker winning the Women's and Intercontinental Championships respectively, plus Hurricane beat Daniels, and Dean Ambrose defeated The Rock, who's whereabouts are unknown, since he was hospitalised a few weeks ago, and treated for a concussion, since suffering the second rope piledriver from Ambrose
Tyson Kidd's music hits, as the crowd explode with a massive pop. Kidd comes out and makes his way to the ring, before raising his belt up high in the air with the crowd taking pictures of him.
Tyson Kidd: First of all, I'd like to address Edge. Edge, you put on one hell of a match at Summerslam- and for that, I have to give credit where it's due. You put me to the test, however I conquered that test, and despite defeating you, you also proved that you are WWE's biggest sore loser.
After our match, we shook hands- only for you to turn on me...again. Edge, I know for a fact that there are people out there fuming about the fact that you didn't beat me, because they say you deserve it more than me. But the fact of the matter is, I can accept the fact that people say that. Because at the end of the day, I can say that I walked out of Summerslam- and I broke you down!
Crowd cheer as Kidd grins.
Kidd: But that was the past, and for now- I need to keep my eye on the future. I've got a beast of number 1 contender on my hands, and he goes by the name of Brock Lesnar. See Brock, I'm not the one who is gonna deny your ability- but the only problem for you is, your ability isn't enough to compete with the top dog.
Kidd: And yes, you may come out into this ring and talk about how you're bigger than me, how you're tougher. But I am the world champion, and like it or not- I'm also the big thing that came out of a small package!
After defeating Edge, I feel better about myself. I feel that I can compete with anyone on the roster, and all the nerves I used to have- I've defeated them. You think I'm scared of you Brock? Well, guess what? I'm not scared at all! And let me prove that by calling you out, so you can get your fat ass out here right now!
*On cue, Brock Lesnar comes out in his workout gear. Visibly pumped, he storms down the ramp with conviction while his music blasts from the PA system. With a microphone already in his hand, he orders that his music be stopped as he enters the ring. He looks up and down Tyson, paying extra attention to the belt he has in his grasp.*
“Well, look what we’ve got out here. Our confident yet unworthy World Heavyweight Champion. You know, Tyson, I was going to cut your little celebration speech shot anyways but since you decided to call me out here, who was I to refuse? After all, I’ve been waiting for this moment for months. I don’t know if you’ve noticed this or not but ever since you robbed me of my World Heavyweight Championship, everyone’s been second guessing me. People have been looking down on me in ways that I’ve never confronted before in my entire life. ‘Hey Brock, how’s it feel like knowing that you, the supposed best athlete on the planet, got his ass handed to him by a midget like Tyson Kidd?’. “
*Some of the audience members begins to laugh as Brock looks back at them with an intense glare. He turns his attention to Tyson.*
“That’s all I’ve been getting from these fans when you stole my championship from me after I took out four of Nitro’s top talents in the same match and on the same night that you lost to Edge. Knowing that your momentum was down, instead of cashing in that briefcase on me when I was at 100%, you decided to slither your way into the ring and use that damn contract on me after my match was won. And to make matters worse, I didn’t get the one on one match with you that I should have gotten. Instead, that crybaby Edge had to piss and moan until he was added into my world championship match and thanks to him getting in my way, you got away with the title again. But did he have to earn his world championship match with you like I had to for Money In The Bank? Of course not! He gets shoehorned into yet another title match while I had to get my hands dirty with Mr. Anderson. Of course, I won but see, that’s not the issue here. The issue here is that I, of all people, had to work my way up to the place where I should already be and that’s the top. Meanwhile, scum like Edge get smooth sailing without having to lift a damn finger and that doesn’t sit well with me at all. I don’t know if it’s just management wanting to jerk me around like old times or just plain incompetence on their part but the winds aren’t in your favor now, Tyson. In case you’ve forgotten, let me remind you of what’s in store for you come Money In The Bank. You have to put your title on the line against me in a one on one match. No B.S. Just a straight up man to man confrontation. And since I’ve been back, I’ve yet to be beaten in that type of match. And don’t even think about calling that cash-in a match. That was a robbery and everyone in the WWE knows it. But in the end…”
Tyson Kidd: Can you please just shut your mouth?
Kidd: Brock, I didn't rob you at all. Come on man, I knew you were stupid- but I didn't know you were THAT stupid. I had a briefcase which gave me the right to cash in for this world title whenever I desired- and I chose the right time to cash it in.
If you were in the same situation as me, you would have done exactly the same thing- and you know it. I promised the crowd before King of the Ring that I would leave a winner- and I would defeat Edge, but I went onto break that promise. But then- I realized that there was one way I could gain my momentum back- and that was by cashing in my briefcase, and winning the title.
See, at first Brock- I thought you were a straight beast who doesn't take crap from anyone. Someone who always conquers any obstacle in your way. Someone who's given a task, and completes that task. But instead Brock, you proved me wrong. Because the only thing you did prove to me...
Was that you're an arrogant bastard who needs putting down.
Kidd: Brock, I am on a roll right now- and if you really think that I'm going to stop my run of form, then you must be delusional. Trust me Brock, I'm not playing games. Brock, if you're going to face me at Money in the Bank- remember one thing. Tyson Kidd isn't going to play Mr. Nice Guy.
Crowd cheer as Kidd grins.
Kidd: Because that is exactly what I have been doing before Summerslam. Despite coming out on top in all my recent matches, I haven't been aggressive enough. When time passes each day, you learn Brock. I've learnt many things, and one of the things I've learned- is that hunger is the key to your progress.
And believe it or not Brock, I am ever so hungry to kick your rotten ass at Money in the Bank.
Kidd: And you know what they say Brock, you've got to-
*Before Tyson can get another word in, Brock Lesnar swats the microphone out of Tyson's hand. Such a rude gesture earns him a heavy dose of booing from the crowd but he couldn't care less. Right now, his attention is solely on Tyson Kidd.*
"Here's something that you don't realize, Tyson. I don't have to do a damn thing except show up at Money In The Bank to win back the title that should have never been yours to begin with. You want to talk about being on a roll? Please. Beating up a crippled man doesn't make you anything but a damn scavenger. That's the only reason you're even in the title picture right now. You pick on the bones and marrow of a weakened opponent instead of someone who's at their best. That's the only reason why you wear MY World Heavyweight Championship which I EARNED by beating three men in one night including Edge. I proved my dominance to all comers on Nitro. Undertaker, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, Mr. Anderson and The Rock. No one was safe from me and I proved it by taking down all of Nitro's top talent while all you've done is just get a fluke victory over me and win an insignificant rubber match against Edge. Your reign as champion doesn't mean a damn thing until you've beaten the best in this business one on one and like it or not, that's me. At Money In The Bank..."
*Brock stops for a second as something about the name of the PPV amuses him enough to make him chuckle.*
"You know, it just dawned on me how sweet my victory is going to be come Money In The Bank. You see, I don't know if you believe in karma or poetic justice or any of that crap, but your comeuppance is finally coming and it's going to be in the best way possible. Not only do I get to beat you for the World Heavyweight Championship but I get to do it at the PPV that hosts the match that nearly cost me my career thanks to you. I get to rewrite the wrong that you did to me at King of the Ring by sitting atop my throne where I belong once I take back what's rightfully mine. I don't care how much conviction, how much guts, how much will you have. That *bleep* means absolutely nothing when you're facing me. Unless you plan on disqualifying yourself or getting counted out, you're not getting away with that belt. On a normal day, I'm a machine. I don't take victories against opponents as personal because it's just what I do best. But you, you're the first person in a loooong time that's pissed me off so much and taken so much from me and that's only going to stack the odds in my favor. You'll be on the receiving end of the biggest and most brutal beating of your entire life. I hope that's what you're hungry for because that's the only thing you'll be getting; that and a huge plate of disappointment and after you're done eating it, you'll be sure to think twice about crossing Brock Lesnar ever again. But since you're so damn hungry, I say that we don't wait for Money In The Bank..."
*Brock takes off his workout jacket and flings it to the ground.*
"We settle this right here, right NOW!"
Tenay: No Shane, we don't want to stop another fight! We did this enough before Summerslam!
Shane: Hold up, hold up, you guys don't want to fight now. You can do that at Money in the Bank. And tonight – in the main event.
The fans have voted for tonights main event – courtesy of WWE.com, and tonight will see Brock Lesnar, Edge, and... Dean Ambrose, versus Tyson Kidd, Mr. Anderson, and – providing he is fit enough to be here after his helacious match at Summerslam, the Rock. And not only that, but there is a stipulation.
TLC – pinfalls and submissions are legal
Super huge crowd pop!
Tenay: Wow! A TLC MATCH!
Bischoff: YES! It's a match made for Edge!
Tenay: And one Tyson Kidd beat him in at Summerslam.
Shane: This is your chance to send a statement to one another before your championship showdown, have a fun night.
Bischoff: This is why Shane is a great GM! He gives the crowd what they wants!
*Shane goes to the back, as Brock and Kidd goes face to face, before Brock smiles, and leaves the ring*
Tenay: Before the break, we heard news of a huge main event
Bischoff: The first TLC match on Nitro ever – and it should be fantastic!
Tenay: Next up, we have the World Tag Team Champions – the All American Perfection, up in action against a team who narrowly in the tag team battle royal.
Bischoff: Easy win for the All American Perfection. How long since they lost a match as a tag team by pinfall or submission? It's been a while.
Bischoff: For all their eliminations, they teamed together with DX, their old friends. They can't get the job done, just them two.
Tenay: They beat Cryme Tyme at Great American Bash, and are multi-time tag team champions, unlike your beloved Cryme Tyme
Bischoff: But add in the fact Cryme Tyme has charisma, athleticism, natural talent, chemistry. They're a lot better in comparison.
Tenay: Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger have held those championships for several months now – aside from the newly christened Womens Champion Lita, they are the only champions to be the only holders of the title since the re-branding of the WWE.
Bischoff: They're yet to lose on Nitro, and when the titles are on the line, they cannot be beat!
Tenay: That remains to be seen. They still have to defend against the Kings of Wrestling, who interfered in their match against the United Kingdom on Raw.
Bischoff: That was an absolute travesty. They lost by DQ when they had the match won! But with Vickie Guerrero here – anything's possible!
Match 1: New Age Outlaws vs. All American Perfection (Ziggler/Rock – Swagger/Austin)
Dogg goes for a back body drop, but Swagger counters with a running shoulder block to the right knee. Dogg falls, as Swagger picks him up to the feet, and wrenches his arm over his head. Dogg lands a right hand, causing Swagger to release his grip. He then bounces off the ropes, before running for a clothesline, but Swagger catches him with a side belly to belly suplex!
Vickie cheers on from ringside, as Swagger pulls Dogg towards his corner, before tagging out to Ziggler. Swagger grabs the legs of Dogg, before slingshotting him into a Hangmans Neckbraker from Ziggler, causing Dogg to fall on his back. Ziggler then jumps over the top rope, and lands an elbow drop. Instead of moving, Ziggler just rests his arm on Dogg, in a pinning predicament.
Ziggler picks up Dogg, and lands a suplex, dropping Gunn on his back. He then bounces off the ropes, and to show off, lands his own “Shake, Rattle and Roll” to the crowds disgust. Ziggler runs over to the ropes, and goes for a punch to Gunn, but Gunn blocks it off, and lands one of his own! Ziggler stumbles back into the middle of the ring, as Dogg lands a chop block. He then manages to get to his feet, and tags out to Gunn, and the New Age Outlaws lands a double suplex!
Swagger enters the ring, and attempts a double clothesline, but the New Age Outlaws duck, and Gunn lands a knife edge chop. Ziggler gets to his feet, and lands a right hand to Dogg. The four men in the ring begins trading blows in the ring, but a crowd makes a huge pop.
Tenay: What's going on? What the hell is happening?
The camera zooms into the crowd, to see none other than Scott Hall in the crowd. Near the top of the arena, he has something unseen in his hands, but he continues watching the action from the crowd.
Bischoff: Scotty Hall! What is he doing here!
Tenay: This is reminiscent of Nitro 1996. The four men in the ring don't notice him!
Dogg goes for the pumphandle slam on Ziggler, but Ziggler manages to land a hip toss, sending Dogg to the ground. Dogg sits up, and Ziggler goes for the modified neckbreaker, but Dogg manages to land a knee to the head. Dogg gets to his feet, and sees Swagger and Gunn fighting on the edge of the ring, so Dogg comes up and dumps Swagger up. Gunn takes a second to recover, as Dogg turns around – straight into a Leg Drop Bulldog from Ziggler!
Bischoff: Yes Ziggles! Fame-asser to the best friend of the inventor!
Tenay: But wait!
Just as Ziggler does that, he gets to his knees, but Gunn manages to land a Fame-asser to Ziggler! Ziggler falls on the mat, and Vickie covers her face in her hands before screaming loudly. Gunn rushes into a cover.
1..........2........Swagger pulls Gunn outside of the ring
Tenay: That damn Swagger – Gunn had the match won!
Bischoff: But he hasn't won!
Swagger then throws Gunn into the ringside steps, before taunting to the crowd. He begins exhaling deeply, but then notices Scott Hall in the crowd, and stares at the former NWO member. Swagger's anger intensifies, and locks in the ankle lock on the outside of the ring!
Tenay: Ankle Lock! It's locked in!
Bischoff: If he taps out it may not count, but he can break his damn foot!
Vickie's delighted, as Gunn screams in pain. Road Dogg notices his partner in trouble, so Dogg goes over to Swagger from behind, and lifts him up for an Electric Chair, but Swagger manages to escape out the back. He goes for a German Suplex, however Gunn holds onto the ring ropes located near him to avoid it, and manages to roll out between Swagger's legs.
Gunn just manages to re-enter the ring, ankle still hurt from the ankle lock, and as both men are down in the ring, Swagger flatens Dogg with a big boot! Swagger then lands a Leg Drop, as Vickie Guerrero cheers on from the opposite side of the ring. Gunn and Ziggler both get to their feet, as Gunn goes for another Fame-asser, but Ziggler catches him, and goes for a Powerbomb, but Gunn manages to land a Frankensteiner, sending Ziggler to the floor.
Gunn then notices Scott Hall in the crowd, and stares at him for a good few seconds. Hall – still doing nothing more than watching the action, grins at Gunn. Gunn then turns to Ziggler, who is now groggily on his feet, and goes for the One and Only, but Ziggler manages to climb using the ring corner to float over the top, and lands on his feet behind Gunn. Before Gunn can do anything else, Ziggler lands a Zig-Zag! Ziggler pins:
Tenay: All American Perfection wins! But why is Scott Hall back?
Bischoff: Let me tell ya, Easy E wants to know
*The camera once more zooms in on Scott Hall who can be seen carrying a baseball bat and standing in one of the top tiers of the crowd. With the crowd attention fully on him, the former n.W.o member begins to make his way down the steps and begins to head to the ring.
As he makes his way down the steps, two members of security come rushing up to stop him. Hall though does not even flinch and instead swings the bat as a warning. instantly the staff members depart allowing Hall to continue walking down steps and allow Hall to pass without trouble. With the crowd now cheering various things from "NWO!" to "Kliq", Hall continues his path to the ring and now reaches the barricade, he hops over the barricade and is greeted by a stagehand who try's to stop him. Hall then holds up the bat as a warning.. The Stagehand then see's that Scott will not be afraid to use the baseball bat and he too allows him to pass with no trouble.*
Tenay: I don't have a clue what he's doing here, he's not a Nitro superstar-
Bischoff: Didn't stop him the first time!
Tenay: But why is he attacking security? If he's such friends with you, and you're Shane's right hand man, then why can't'he just make his way to ringside normally?
Bischoff: I presume he wants to make a statement!
Hall then walks over to the commentary table with a smirk across his face. He notices Bischoff and just stops and stares for a moment before smiling and grabbing a microphone off the announce table. He then says "Easy E, what's up chico?" before smirking at Bischoff once more and making his way towards the ring and uses the steps to enter. As he enters the ring, the tag team Champions.. All American Perfection want nothing to do with Hall and scatter out of the ring, back tracking up the ramp.
Hall then stands in the middle of the ring, looks out towards the fans and then begins to speak.
Hall: You all know who I am.. *Hall then pauses as again the crowd pop.* But You don't know why I'm back!
*Once more the crowd cheer with many just happy to see the former man known as Razor Ramon looking healthy once again.*
Hall: And to any monkey's in the back thinking otherwise man, I'm the real deal. The bad guy, Scott Hall! Not some cheap imitation that old sugar daddy Vince has thrown together again hoping to sell tickets off my name! It's really me this time.. Tooth pick and all!
*Hall smiles as the crowd again cheer. He then pauses for a moment before getting serious and raising the mic to his lips to speak again.*
Hall: No Ted Turner man? Sting and Hogan are on Raw? No n.W.o either? Are you guys stupid man?*Crowd begin boo* You are sat here watching Vince’s version of Nitro, a watered down version which he will never let grow and will always be eclipsed by Raw.. That is not right man. Who’s the champions around here? Oh yeah.. Tyson Kidd. Home grown by the WWE. The Hart family’s last chance of being a success *Hall laughs* It’s not going to happen chico.
Who else? The Undertaker, the dead man? The scary guy?*Hall pretends to shake* Give me a break man, this guy represent’s everything about the WWE. He’s there general.. Don’t you see? Are you guys stupid? This is Vince rewriting history, trying to show that his guys could have saved WCW and that he could have saved “Dubya-See-Dubya” and he put’s this crap out each and every week to show it? I don’t think so man. The real fans.. They know, they know wrestling is dead! It died the moment Scott Hall left your screens!
*The crowd have now turned against Hall as he begins to smirk and make a gesture of crying mocking the fans.*
Hall: Lucky for you, I'm back and Things are going to change! Soon.. Very soon and once more.. Nitro will be.. Too! Sweeeeetttttttttt!
*Hall then drops the mic and clutches his bat once more, he takes another look around the ring and notices a group of security coming down the ramp and heading to the ring. Hall does not wait and immediately exit’s the ring and heads back through the crowd as the camera loses him.*
Loud pop from the crowd as Taker makes his way to the ring.
Tenay: Here comes the new Intercontinental Champion, the Undertaker. What a match we witnessed at Summerslam between the Undertaker and Tyler Reks. A hell of a fight, and I have to give credit to Tyler Reks on having a great match against the Undertaker, but in the end, The Phenom proved to be the better man that night.
Bischoff: It was a good fight Mike, Taker came out here and took care of business.
Tenay: What? No mouthing off to the Undertaker today Eric? Why the change of heart?
Bischoff: Shut up Tenay and do your job.
Undertaker makes his way to the ring and lays the Intercontinental Title in the middle of the ring.
Undertaker: I said it before and I’ll say it again. I went into Summerslam with a mission and I came out of Summerslam victorious. But you see Tyler, I told you from the beginning, nothing personal, just business; and when I have business to take care of, all who are involved will get hurt. You see Reks, you never ran nor tried to hide and I respect that, but I could smell the fear in you knowing that your life was on the line. At the final hour, when the moment of glory was at hand, I decided to spare your life and the life of Randy Orton, and just take the prize.
Points to the IC Title… Crowd cheers as Taker rolls his eyes back
Tenay: What a chilling sight!!!
Undertaker: You see Reks, I spared your life because I really thought you had enough and now Shane McMahon has made a rematch on Nitro for next week. You see, you offer pity to a soul and they take advantage of that gracious offer. You see Reks, I was born from a deceptive dream, a dream that turned into a nightmare as time went on. This nightmare calls me every night testing me to see how far I will bend until I break. I can see its glowing eyes staring at me as I hear its evil cry. Reks, you are wanting more of me? Be rest assured, that I will do things to you that will cause deep immense pain on your already weak body and spirit. This is war Tyler… you need to understand this boy… This Is War! Unseen powers will devour you once and for all. The wounds I will inflict on you will be so deep that you will never heal from them. They will be torn open wide for all to see. You will grow tired and weary… you will be hurt and broken. There is a phrase that says, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Reks, I am the Evil One and there is no power or force that will deliver you or save you from the wrath that I will unleash on you. You will try to run but you will feel my nails digging on the flesh of your back. Blood will spill on the earth as you grow weaker with every pathetic breath you take. You will have the will to fight and to survive, but after I’m done with you Reks, you will be begging me to take your last breath away.
Bischoff: Why does he have to threaten Tyler Reks like that? That is being a bully Tenay.
Tenay: Well Shane McMahon made this match for next week and I’m sure Tyler Reks agreed to it. Anyone who faces the Phenom should know that it’s no easy task Eric.
Undertaker: Tyler Reks… so the stage is set for next week, here on Nitro. You will stand shackled before me. No defense will speak for you. You will be found guilty on all counts. And the penalty is… your soul! Next week, I will make sure of this… you will REST IN PEACE!
The crowd makes a mixed reaction, unsure of who they want to triumph in the title match next week
Tenay: Strong words by the Deadman. Can he keep his Intercontinental Championship past this week?
Bischoff: Reks didn't lose it without a fight, and one-on-one, no Orton as a distraction – it could be a different story.
Tenay: Well, now when we can back from this commercial, we will hear from Nitro's newest superstar, the man who cried I Quit at Summerslam, Goldberg!
Bischoff: He built Nitro up once, and made it his stomping ground. Can he do it again?
Tenay: And now, we will hear from Goldberg, who will make his Nitro re-debut later tonight.
Tenay: Well the Nitro fans knew this man was coming back! The man called Goldberg.
Bischoff: I for one am happy that Goldberg is on the better brand of the WWE. Raw was holding him back and not utilizing him the way they should have. This works out for all of us. This is just another genius move of our General Manager Shane McMahom.
Tenay: Well for once I agree with you Eric. Goldberg will achieve nothing but greatness here on Nitro.
Goldberg makes his way to the ring and the crowd is going crazy and chanting his name.
Goldberg: It’s good to be back home on Nitro where I belong.
Loud pop from the crowd.
Goldberg: I will admit and be a man about it… Ryback was the winner at Summerslam, but Ryback, as long as we are both in the WWE, it’s far from over between us. Next time, I will not be defeated, next time I will not make it that easy for you. But tonight there will be a new streak here on Nitro, a new era; and the streak will start tonight. I have always been a fighter and I let my actions speak for me. I have never nor will I ever back down from a fight. I have fought the smallest men and I've taken down the biggest trees here in this yard. I will dominate Nitro and I will soon get the World Heavyweight Title around my waist where it belongs and I don't care who holds that title when that day comes. I don’t care who I have to go through, I will demolish anyone to get what I want!!! So Shano Mac, you got your wish and you got me here, let the domination begin.
Tenay: That's strong words from Goldberg – a man who lost for the first time since returning at Summerslam, but now we have to move forward with the show, and these four men have different stories entirely
Bischoff: We have the great Cryme Tyme: they've had their ups and downs recently with the New Age Outlaws, alas thanks to Billy Gunn, Triple H and the Kings of Wrestling eliminating JTG and Shad, they lost.
Tenay: Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez debuted at Summerslam, and too lost out, them thanks to Shawn Michaels and Claudio Castagnoil, but they impressed, and are looking for their first tag team victory tonight in their Nitro debut!
Tenay: Well Alberto Del Rio may be a 2 time WWE Champion, Ricardo Rodriguez has very little in-ring experience. Is he a liability?
Bischoff: Of course he is. Well he may be entertaining outside the ring, inside, I fear for him inside the ring, with little experience, and Cryme Tyme will need to capitalise on that.
Tenay: However, he may be an unknown threat. In FCW he led the original Ascention, but this is the big leagues. He needs to transfer over any talent he may've had.
Tenay: Earlier on, we saw Scott Hall come into the arena during a tag match. Will he be here again?
Bischoff: If I know Scotty, and I don't think anyone can deny I do, he will bide his time in order to make the biggest impact possible
Tenay: And Cryme Tyme has a chance to make a huge impact. If they beat the new tag team on the block, and a former World Champion in that, they could certainly move up the tag team ladder
Match 2: Cryme Tyme vs. Alberto Del Rio (Morrison) and Ricardo Rodriguez (Miz)
Del Rio spins JTG around, and goes for a clothesline, but JTG ducks, and lands a kick to the stomach. JTG bounces off the ropes and goes for Da Shout Out, however Del Rio lands a stiff kick to that, and lands the Double Knee Armbreaker.
Del Rio pulls JTG to his feet, and wrenches JTG's arm over his head, before landing an elbow to the tricep area. While keeping the hold locked in, Del Rio tags out to Rodriguez, who climbs onto the top rope, then lands a Double Axe Handle to the shoulder. Del Rio leaves the ring, as Rodriguez lands a knife edge chop. He lifts JTG up for a Firemans Carry Position, and goes for a Samoan Drop, but JTG manages to reverse into a sunset flip roll-up!
1.......2......Rodriguez manages to roll backwards out of the ring, before landing a dropkick to JTG's face. He follows that up by stomping on his arm, before picking him up, and sends him into the ropes, before following that up with an attempted arm drag, but JTG manages to counter with a running elbow. He throws Rodriguez shoulder first into the ring pole in a neutral corner, before pulling him out, and throws him into the ring pole in the Cryme Tyme corner.
JTG holds his own arm, as Shad tags in and enters the ring, and lands a stiff forearm to the stomach. Shad then lifts Rodriguez up, and drops him for a bodyslam, before covering
1........2.........Kickout from Rodriguez!
Shad leaves the ring over the top rope, and pulls Rodriguez out too. He lifts Rodriguez up, before dropping him for Snake Eyes on the ringside barrier. Rodriguez falls to his knees, but Shad pulls him up, and lands goes for a suplex on the mat, but Rodriguez escapes, and lands a big slap to the face of Shad. He then takes a few steps back, before running into Shad, and sandwiching him between himself and the ringside barrier.
Rodriguez motions for Del Rio. Alberto then enters the ring, and claps his hands in rhythm, getting the crowd involved too. Del Rio runs against the ropes, and goes for a suicide dive, but JTG stops it by kicking Del Rio in the head. Rodriguez then goes over, and pulls JTG off the apron, causing JTG's head to bounce off the edge of the ring.
Rodriguez then turns back around to Shad, but Shad lands a big boot. He wipes his face off sweat, then looks at the fallen Rodriguez. He picks him up and throws him into the ring, before entering himself. He climbs to the second rope, before landing a body press, and covering
1.........2.........Rodriguez somehow kicks out.
Shad shakes his head, before picking up Rodriguez. He goes for the STO, but Rodriguez manages to counter with elbows to the head. Shad goes towards the corner, where Rodriguez meets him with Del Rio's signature running corner enzurigi!
Tenay: Who knew he had that in him!?
Bischoff: Not me! Come on Shad!
Shad stumbles into the middle of the ring, and manages to fall to where JTG is, who tags himself is. JTG climbs to the top rope, and jumps in attempt for a Diving crossbody on Rodriguez, but Rodriguez counters with a powerslam!
Rodriguez tags in Del Rio, who then enters the ring, and pulls JTG to his feet. Rodriguez then lifts JTG up, and lands an Atomic Drop, before Del Rio follows that up with a Backstabber! JTG falls to the mat, as both Rodriguez and Del Rio turn to Shad. They both grab a handful of tights and his head, before throwing Shad over the top rope to the floor. Rodriguez then leaves to the apron, as Del Rio grabs the arm, and locks in the Cross Armbreaker! JTG resists for a few seconds, but is then forced to tap out!
Tenay: JTG taps out! Del Rio and Rodriguez wins!
Bischoff: And what a well oiled tag team they looked like. Be careful New Age Outlaws. We all know you're the weakest tag team on Nitro, and these two will be wanting to take your spot next!
Tenay: They're certainly not the weakest Nitro tag team, but we have to move on. After this break, we will finally get to hear from the man, who attacked Edge at Summerslam. Why, Miz, why? We will find out next.
Fans are on their feet as The Miz appears on stage. His presence strong as he heads to the ring with a confident stride as he soon enters the ring, having a mic already in hand and the YOU ARE AWESOME!!! chants take place that bring a smile to The Miz's face before he speaks...
Miz: No. You're Aweeeeessssssoooooommmmmmeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
Crowd cheers wholeheartedly
Miz: Damn, it's good to be back in the WWE. A feeling long missed since my last appearance at WrestleMania. Around the same time Edge, set foot in the WWE himself once again. Funny how things work out like that, huh?
Difference is Edge made it so much about him rather than realizing that the future of the WWE is here and now and they deserve the spotlight that he and even I got at one time or another in our WWE Careers.
Fans cheer agreeing with The Miz
Miz: That's the answer to the question asked since my return...why did I come back? Simple. I got tired of seeing Edge get his unneeded way. I've been watching the WWE for a very long time waiting for the right time to come back and see when I would be needed most and that's when I saw it.
The exact moment when Edge would simply not be the bigger man and accept what was dealt to him, instead he would once again try and weasel his way into the World Heavyweight Championship scene and that just isn't gonna cut it. Not anymore.
If he wants that shot, like I certainly do. He'll have earn it another way, maybe through a match that he and I have been the winners of and had the success that come with it. Money in the Bank is coming up and with it the chance to qualify for the match. So I'll make sure I qualify and put my best effort into winning it as I'm sure 7 other Superstars will do.
Fans go wild at the thought of being a MITB winner again
Miz: I'm all for the future of the WWE such as Tyson Kidd getting their time to shine, they deserve it and have worked long and hard to get to this level in the WWE but make no mistake, I'm the one the premiere WWE Superstars of all time and now that I'm back I plan on showing how I became the must see WWE Superstar that I am today.
It's been a dream of mine to not only be a WWE Champion, which I accomplished but I also have the World Heavyweight Championship in my sights and MITB is going to be the gateway from my future reign on Nitro as the World Heavyweight Champion will begin.
Crowd cheers knowing what's coming
Miz: Because....I'm....going to MITB....winning it all.....and becoming the future World Heavyweight Champion.....why you ask? You know the answer, so say it with me.....I'm The Miz.....and....
The crowd cheers, as Miz drops the mic on the floor. He leaves the ring, slapping hands with the fans, before the camera cuts to a commercial
The camera pans around the arena, and then to the Commentary desk, where Bischoff and Tenay are sitting.
Tenay: Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to Thursday Night Nitro, and what an intense confrontation we saw just moments before the break, with Miz in his own words, promising to stop Edge's underhanded tactics
Bischoff: As if he could do that, Mike! Edge is called the ultimate opportunist for a reason, a wily veteran that should be our World Champion right now!
Tenay: Speaking on Miz, he promised to defeat Goldberg tonight in his MITB qualifier match, and if he does make it Eric, he has to be one of the favourites. After all, he knows how to win that briefcase, having won it back in 2010 and cashed it in on randy Orton before going on to Main Event Wrestlemania the next year.
Bischoff: The problem is, Mike, I just don’t see him making it past Goldberg to get there. Despite Goldberg’s huge loss this past Sunday, and putting my personal feelings for him aside, I think he’ll still run through Miz tonight!
Tenay: We move on now to the Diva’s Title picture, where Natalya has been making waves with her return and attack
Bischoff: You mean...sneak attack!
Tenay: Yes, well, either way I think Natalya made her point clear this past Sunday when she took out our Inaugural Women’s Champion Lita, after that historic triple Threat just 4 nights ago!
Bischoff: And I for one can’t wait for Lita to give Natalya her just desserts!
Bischoff: Buttt I’ll settle for Paige kicking her ass right here right now!
Tenay is talking as Paige walks out into the arena, cool and composed as she gets a huge mixed reaction from the massive California crowd.
Tenay: Paige, who has hit a little bit of a rough patch lately, but is always a dangerous opponent to face, is the Anti Diva of the WWE!
Bischoff: I have previously predicted Championship gold in here future, and I firmly stick by that viewpoint. What a talent Paige is!
Natalya arrives out, all smiles and she high fives the crowd, who give her a great pop on her return to the WWE.
Tenay: And here comes the Pride Of Canada, Natalya! How will she fare in her return match into the WWE, against a very talented opponent in the shape of Paige!
Bischoff: Sorry, Mike, but Natalya has no chance here tonight. No matter how much this crowd try to carry her to the finish line, the fact remains that she is simply nowhere near the level that Paige is at right now!
The two women are now in the ring, and the referee calls for the bell and this one is underway
Match 3: Paige vs. Nattie Neidhart (Tamina)
3:18 to 8:56
Tenay: What a picture perfect Dropkick that was from Paige and she has Natalya right where she wants her!
Paige crawls across for a pinfall
Kick Out by Natalya!
Bishcoff: Aw man, unlucky Paige girl, go get a piece of that Canadian scum!
Paige gestures to the crowd, who give her a big mixed reaction, as she scoops up Natalya and slams her back down on the mat with force, and Natalya arches her back in pain. Paige goes to the outside, and climbs the ropes in the corner of the ring, and stands on the top rope, waiting for Natalya to get up, which she does, albeit it a little hesitantly, still holding her back in pain. Paige leaps off the top rope and hits a flying crossbody.
Tenay: Has she got her here? She slides into the cover...
Kick out by Natalya
Bischoff: Unlucky for Paige there, but she is showing us why she is one of the best Diva’s we have here in the WWE with a dominant display.
Paige is frustrated, but wastes little time and grabs Natalya in a head lock, attempting to wear her opponent down. After a good twenty seconds of holding her in the headlock position, she Irish Whip’s her into the turnbuckle, and runs to hit a Clothesline. Natalya moves out of the way and Paige hits the ringpost with post. She staggers back into the middle of the ring, where Natalya grabs her and hits two Belly to Back suplexes in a row
Tenay: A bit of offense now for Natalya, here’s the cover
Paige kicks out after two and a half
Bischoff: Great resilience from Paige there!
Tenay: But to be fair to Natalya, she hasn’t shown much ring rust here tonight, has she?
Bischoff: Yeah, whatever Tenay.
Natalya scoops up Paige and hits a huge Michinoku Driver II which plants Paige on the ground. She is not done there, however, and locks in the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring!
Tenay: Sharpshooter locked in right now, center of the ring, nowhere to run or hide!
Bischoff: C’mon Paige, fight through the pain!
You can see the anguish all over Paige’s face, but she somehow musters the strength to crawl over to the ropes and grab a hold of them, and Natalya lets go. Paige is struggling to get up via help of the ropes, and she hangs off them. Natalya bounces off the opposite ropes and sprints towards Paige, setting up a clothesline, but Paige ducks and pulls the top rope with her, and Natalya hits the outside ground hard.
Tenay: Ouch! What a hard hit for Natalya to take at this crucial stage of the match.
Paige looks satisfied with a count out victory, and encourages the ref to count
5! Natalya is now on her feet, and begins to struggle back into the ring
Natalya makes it back into the ring, but Paige takes advantage with a Lou Thesz Press. She gets up and waits for Natalya to get back up before going for another big dropkick. Natalya sees it coming however, and catches her leg and twists it round into the Sharpshooter!
Tenay: The Sharpshooter is locked in again! Surely Paige can’t escape again?!
Bischoff: Please escape Paige, c’mon you can do this!
Paige again somehow crawls to the ropes, but Natalya drags her back into the ring, and Paige realises she has nowhere left to go, and she taps out!
Tenay: What a huge victory here for Natalya, and she proves her point to be in the mix for that #1 Contenders Spot at the Womens Title!
Bischoff: No way, Mike! She got a fluky win over a better wrestler and now you think she’s got what it takes to beat Lita?! Tenay, please!
Tenay: You never know, Eric, you never know!
Nattie has her armed raised in victory to cheers from the crowd. She then looks over to see Paige about to exit the ring but Nattie calls her back and offers her a handshake. Paige looks down for a few seconds before finally accepting it. They exchange a few words before Paige finally exits the ring and Nattie motions for a mic
Nattie Neidhart: Its girls like Paige, Tamina and Trish that make womens wrestling matter here in WWE. Trish, the veteran, has done it all, Womans Champion many times over, Diva of the Decade, countless magazine covers and the only WWE Diva to have a DVD on her career- and she still can do it in the ring. Paige- quite young but has learned a lot in her few years in this sport- doesn’t hurt that, like me, she comes from a wrestling family. She has woman’s champion written all over her. And you can say the same about Tamina- her dad is Jimmy Snuka- one of the greats during wrestlings golden years along with Hulk Hogan. You could even say he was as popular as the Hulkster. And as great as Jimmy was in the ring, Tamina is even better.
Nattie: As for the rest of the divas- they are just that- Divas. With the exception of Kaitlyn, none of the rest have improved their games. Its all talk, and really sad action. Maria is a sweet girl, but doesn’t belong near a wrestling ring. Maryse, well I will give her some credit- she is better than Maria, she actually knows a few moves. Kelly Kelly is all attitude but that’s all. And you see, that’s why I came back here to WWE after my injuries heeled. While rehabbing my knee, I had to sit back and watch three women, make that four carry the whole division. I had to get back into the game, I had to come back to join women like Trish, Paige and Tamina in making the womens division on par with the mens division. There is one person who I am forgetting, whats her name? Hmmmm.
Someone in the crowd yells out ‘Lita’
Nattie: Oh yeah, Lita. How can I forget her? I have to give her credit where credit is due. Lita can wrestle and is very deserving of the title. She earned it. I can’t take that away from her. Oh wait! I can and I will! By that I mean the Womans Title and with it around my waist, I will defend it with honor. I’ll bring prestige back to the womens division..
Nattie is cut off as Lita walks out, the Women’s Championship on her shoulder. She makes her way down the ramp, having a short staredown with Paige half way down, before sliding into the ring. She walks past Nattie and climbs to the top rope, holding the Women’s Championship up high to a tirade of boos. Lita drops down and asks for a microphone.
Lita: I’m sorry, who are you again?
The fans boo loudly as Nattie shakes her head. Lita smirks as she places the Women’s Championship back on her shoulder.
Lita: Oh that’s right, you’re Nattie Neidhart! You’re the daughter of Jim Neidhart! You’re the girl whose ass I kicked way back at King of the Ring. You’re the girl who failed to qualify for the Road To Triumph Scramble that I won back at Great American Bash and you’re the girl who disappeared without trace as soon as you realised that you were no longer relevant.
The fans boo loudly again as Lita laughs.
Lita: And then you decided to try and bring yourself back in the utmost manner, you tried to make an impact by interrupting my celebration last Sunday at SummerSlam after I beat Kelly Kelly and Trish Stratus to do exactly as I said I would- and become the NEW Women’s Champion.
But one thing you didn’t plan on Nattie was the fact that I saw it coming.
The fans start a Nattie chant.
Lita: I saw it coming from the second you disappeared. I knew that as soon as I won that match- like I have been saying since the moment I returned to the WWE, since the very moment the Road To Triumph was even thought up, I have been saying that this would happen. That I would make my way all the way to the final at SummerSlam and win.
And trust me, it was a grueling battle but I am finally on the spot I deserve to be. I’m finally the woman all of those women in the back want to be. I’m finally the face of this division.
The fans boo loudly.
Lita: And you’ve come out here to try and preach the very message that I have been backing since I came back. You’ve come out here to talk about women rather than divas. Paige, Trish, Tamina? You call those girls women? The only woman on this damn roster is standing in the ring and she sure as hell isn’t you honey.
It’s me. I’m the Women’s Champion- and I’m the one that deserves to be. I fought the best match of my career at SummerSlam and I beat Little Miss Barbie Doll and Little Miss Perfect. So what’s next for me Nattie? Is it you?
The fans cheer loudly at the prospect.
Lita: You’re not a woman Nattie, you don’t deserve the shot at me. Little Miss Technical will have to earn a shot at me, at the real Anti-Diva. This is a title I’m going to hold onto for a very long time Nattie, you’re nothing but an embarrassment.
You think that you can walk out here from nowhere- doing absolutely nothing for months- and walk right into the number one contender spot but I’m telling you now- you can’t. An impact isn’t made by just walking through the curtain and trying to upstage me. An impact is made by doing something like...this!
Lita throws herself forwards and smashes Nattie in the head with the microphone. Nattie hits the canvas as Lita smirks. She looks down at Nattie and brings the microphone back to her lips.
Lita: You see Nattie, I’m the best Women’s Champion of all time. Get to the back of the line.
Lita throws the microphone down and holds the Women’s Championship up as the fans boo loudly.
Tenay: What a total bitch! She can't hit Nattie with the microphone!
Bischoff: She just did. She wants to keep her title for as long as possible!
The camera cuts backstage, to show a darkened room. A figure is shown sitting at the table, his face unseen. He speaks in the British accent, and breaths heavily, before speaking.
???: The United Kingdom has been making headlines through the WWE, but only on the Raw side of things. Why not on Nitro, the place that needs the British dominance more than anything. The Americans like Brock Lesnar and the Rock, they're all fine and dandy, but what do they compare with me.
And the World Champion is a Canadian. Canada. He may have trained as a Hart, but being a Hart, is not being British. Not when we have rich heritage from people like Henry VIII in our veins. Controversial, awe-inspiring people. You could not take your eyes of him, and there was a reason. He was the true essence of British power.
Let me get one thing straight though, I'm not affiliated with the United Kingdom – in fact I've never met them. But that doesn't mean I disagree with them, because I don't. When you have people like Tyler Black in the WWE, you can't do anything but try to teach them the error of their ways. But on Nitro, why are the North Americans trying to run rampant, the oldies, people like Edge, Rock. When will the new blood get their turn? I was born a gladiator – I know how to fight. I'm not a member of the UK, I don't aspire to be like them, I'm my own man. Nitro will be my territory.
I'll be the Cold-Blooded brawler you fear. I'll be the Oblivion. I am Oblivion. It's time that the McMahon version of Nitro gets spiced up. This isn't a British Invasion, this is a one-man mission. Nitro will be in hands of the only person who can truly carry it like it should be carried, and that is me.
The man laughs manically, before the camera cuts to a commercial.
Tenay: Now ladies and gents, onto our first MITB qualifier of the night, and hopefully this could go to be a classic for two Nitro debuts!
Bischoff: I hope Goldberg kicks The Miz’ scrawny ass!
Goldberg arrives out through the fireworks as the crowd give him a decent sized pop
Tenay: Well, Goldberg is not in a good place right now. He was forced to say ‘I QUIT’ against his fearsome rival Ryback at Summerslam this past Sunday, meaning that he was forced to leave Monday Night Raw for Nitro
Bischoff: Look, I don’t like Goldberg, but I hope he kicks that punk, The Miz’ ass!
Tenay: Well, its certain that Goldberg will want to fight back, a wounded beast is always the most dangerous type of beast.
The Most Must See WWE Superstar music hits and the crowd erupt with massive cheers as he appears on the ramp, all pumped up and ready to go
Tenay: Now this man made a HUGE impact this past Sunday after a Hellacious 3 Stages of Hell match for the WHC between Edge and Tyson Kidd. After Tyson had retained, Edge attempted to attack him, but The Miz made the save and stood tall as SS went off the air.
Bischoff: Oh, so a blindsided attack on The Rated R Superstar makes a man a hero now!? C’mon! If Edge had done that, these people would’ve booed him out of the building, and you would bitch on commentary about how Edge is a coward!
Tenay: This is different, Eric, Tyson needed help, and Miz delivered
Match 4: Goldberg vs. Miz (HBK) in a Nitro Money in the Bank Ladder Match Qualifier
Tenay: Goldberg lining up the Spear here, dangerous territory for Miz!
Bischoff: Miz is about to be hit by a bulldozing train, Mike! Goldberg is back!
The Awesome One struggles to his feet, and Goldberg steams towards him. Miz moves out of the way and throws Goldberg into the steel post in the corner, and falls to the ground.
Tenay: What a reversal from The Miz!
Bischoff: What a fluke! He doesn’t even know where he is!
Eric has a point, as Miz can barely get up after taking that big body slam before the failed Spear. Miz however, does get up first at 6, and as Goldberg hangs off the ropes in the corner, Miz goes to the other side of the ring, and sprints towards him, connecting with an Awesome Clothesline in the corner. Goldberg goes down in the corner, and Miz scampers to the pin.
1! 2! Kick Out from Goldberg
Tenay: Miz can now take control of this match, after Goldberg dominated the early stages.
Bischoff: He has got one shot in on him, don’t worry Mike, Goldberg will be back.
Tenay: Hey Eric, you used to hate Goldberg!? Why the change in tune?
Bischoff: It’s really picking the lesser of two evils, isn’t it? I hate Bill, but I hate The Miz just that little bit more!
The Miz bounces off the ropes, and goes for a Big Boot to the seated Goldberg. But Goldberg is playing possum and he grabs the leg of Miz and puts him in the Ankle Lock. Miz is in pain, and Goldberg slams his leg off the ground, and Miz rolls around in pain, and the ref checks on him to see if he’s OK.
Bischoff: Now that’s more like it, did you see the sheer power Goldberg displayed there! I hope Miz’ ankle is shattered!
Goldberg pulls Miz up, and drives a forearm into the lower leg of Miz, who crumples to the ground holding his injured leg again. Goldberg covers...
1! 2! Kick Out from Miz!
Goldberg wastes no time and picks Miz up again, and throws him off the ropes and hits him with a big clothesline, and Miz gets back up to run straight back into another clothesline. Goldberg picks him up, throws him off the turnbuckle and when Miz stumbles back into the ring, Goldberg hits Miz with a massive Spinebuster
Tenay: My word! A spine tingling Spinebuster from The Beast known as Goldberg
Bischoff: The Miz’ goofy haircut= $20, The Miz’ stupid outfit=$100, the look on the Miz’ face when Goldberg destroys him= Priceless, Tenay, Priceless!
Goldberg covers The Awesome One
NOOOO! The Miz kicked out somehow, and the crowd pop big for this, and Goldberg now looks full of frustration. He picks up Miz and lifts him up high in the air, going for the Jackhammer, but Miz wriggles out and hits a big dropkick to Goldberg. Cover....
Tenay: NO! Goldberg kicks out from that inch perfect dropkick!
Bischoff: What resilience!
Tenay: And indeed, both these men have shown unbelievable courage to try to get into our MITB match!
Miz can’t believe it, and he turns away in shock. When he turns back round, Goldberg hits a massive Superkick, and falls to the ground as Miz looks out cold. Goldberg struggles up and goes to the corner, waiting for The Miz to get up. HE sprints toward Miz when he does to hit the Spear, but Miz throws him into the turnbuckle, and as he stumbles back out, holding his face, The Awesome One hits a Skull Crushing Finale!
Bischoff: Dammit, anyone but Miz!
Tenay: Ladies and Gentlemen, what an unbelievable match we have just seen here tonight, with both men putting in great performances, but you have to commend Miz, Eric!
Bischoff: Ha-ha! Really? NO! Just because Goldberg is a useless son of a bitch who cant get the job done and Miz beat him, doesn’t make him ‘Awesome’!
Miz struggles to his feet, as Goldberg rolls away, and Miz continues to celebrate with the crowd, who love the fact Miz is on Nitro. However, Miz is still holding that injured leg, but continues to climb the turnbuckle, and points to the crowd. As he jumps back down, he turns into a massive spear from Edge!
Tenay: Dammit, that dastardly Edge just sneak attacked The Miz!
Bischoff: That’s how you do a damn spear Goldberg! YES! YES! YES!
Tenay: Will you sit down Eric?
Bischoff: Go get him Edge..Shut up Tenay!
Edge just stands over the seemingly lifeless body of The Miz and smugly looks out over the crowd, who evidently hate the man. The camera pans away from the ring and into Shane McMahon’s office, where he is looking at the screen at the events which took place just now before his door can be heard opening and Shane turns his head and says..
