Video Game Soundtracks
only those 2 come to mind out of the little game I have played
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, One of the best soundtracks EVER.
Smackdown vs Raw 2007. That one had some classics, almost nostalgia worthy.
Smackdown vs Raw 2005
Madden with Vick on the cover
Pokemon 1 (red/yellow/blue) has some good ones. If it didn't I wouldn't of over played it as much as I did.
Cheetahmen had a catchy song although the games are shite.
Sonic 1, 2 and 3 has a lot of great tracks in them I can't stop singing when I here.
Although not very popular Earthworm Jim: Menace to the Galaxy for GBC had a badass opening theme song too.
*points to all Budokai 3 songs* 1 reason why I was unstoppable at that game ;D
DOA4 has a few good tracks and Marble Blast Ultra has a great track.
Here is but a handful :)
The Mass Effect Trilogy
Fable 1,2 and 3
Dragon Age Origins
Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Streets of Rage 2
Of the games I've played, Mass Effect 1 + 2 have the best sound track hands down. I'm yet t play the 3rd, but I have no doubt that the soundtrack for that will be one of the standout features of the game.
As far as other games go:
GTA 4 (can't beat a bit of Iggy Pop on Liberty Rock Radio!)
and pretty much all the Tomb Raider games have a great soundtrack.
Faxanadu (Jun Chikuma)- One of the most slept-on 8-bit opuses for one of the most slept-on adventure games ever made.
Donkey Kong Country 2 (David Wise)- It's funny how the once revolutionary graphics haven't held up, yet the excellent soundtrack remains as excellent as ever.
Resident Evil (Makoto Tomozawa/Masami Ueda/Akari Kaida)- This will forever be the most soothing thing to hit my cochlea.
Mass Effect 1 + 2 is a personal favorite of mine.
NBA 2K12 has the worst soundtrack I have ever heard. It's a shame that they have Basketball by Kurtis Blow on there. It's just so bad, it hurts.
Final Fantasy XIII, Kingdom Hearts 2 (especially Darkness of the Unknown) and DBZ Raging Blast (Flight of the Omega = jizzworthy) have pretty awesome soundtracks.
