Tara's death should have been huge, but I sort of felt like they were telegraphing it the whole season, so it didn't really have a whole lot of punch for me, unfortunately. Hell, Clay's death didn't do much, either. Like, he should have been gone at the end of the 4th season, but Sutter chickened out. So by the time they finally got around to it, all sorts of fucks were left to be given. But, honestly, I find myself caring less and less about EVERY FUCKING CHARACTER on the show (aside from maybe Juice).

As much as it pains me to say: The whole season was a bloated mess. And shock value for the sake of shock value. There's probably also a pun about wheel-spinning somewhere to be found, but I just can't be bothered. Hope they get their shit together for the final stretch, but I'm not holding out hope.

Fair enough. I enjoy Indy shows when I get a chance to see them. Usually worth the $20 you pay for excellent seats and the wrestler/fan interaction makes the show more intimate and fun. Like going to theater to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Interesting interview on the state of British wrestling. Figured since you're in London, it might apply to you and give you motivation to find a local indy show or two.

    Just sharing knowledge

    While I'm thinking about it...

I'm listening to this podcast now. The interview with Lex was nice and makes me want to read his new book. The interview with Carrie Dunn made me want to start searching a bit more British wrestling. Nothing news worthy, but if you get a chance, check it out.

Yeah, the sandwich-grenade scene is one of the most fucked-up, insanely compelling scenes in the history of television. No hyperbole, either. My jaw was on the floor for a good 20 minutes after that shit happened.

"I'm sorry, man... I'm so sorry!"

And the last line of the episode? Chills.

"We're gonna find out who did this, and we're gonna kill 'em."

Top 5 Wrestling Entrance Themes

by akbar on 06-13-2013 at 12:36 PM
It seems wrestlers entrance theme’s nowadays don’t have the impact of 10-15 years ago, with so many of them now sounding like some indie band-esque bland, generic stuff. A good theme for me is one that strikes the crowd from the first second and lets them know instantly who the wrestlers. Of course other people tastes differ but here are for me the top 5 favourite entrance themes.

Why CM Punk is more suitable as a face

by akbar on 06-06-2013 at 04:50 PM

The somewhat eagerly anticipated return of CM Punk is almost near us and no doubt majority of WWE fans will be glad to see him back. Now granted unless something spontaneous occurred in the usual auto-pilot creative minds of WWE, he’ll return as a heel. No doubt Punk is a great heel, but his anti-hero face

Why Sheamus should lose the title now

by akbar on 07-28-2012 at 03:50 PM
So in the recent Smackdown episode, Alberto Del Rio has won the no1 contenders fatal four way match to be up against Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship. I have to say I was surprised he won the battle royal, with the apperant feud happening with Rey Mysterio, a one on one between them would've been the guess but it looks like ADR is still going to be after the title.

Why CM Punk turning heel isn't that big of a deal.

by akbar on 07-26-2012 at 11:58 AM
So for weeks, the build up to 1000th Raw had been made into a momentous occasion. While it was fun seeing the old faces for a little reunion, something big needed to happen for the show itself to be memoriable and lead into a exciting angle to lay out through out the summer. With much speculation in what this big angle is going to happen, it was WWE champion CM Punk 'turning his back on the fans'

The Spotlight is on AJ

by akbar on 07-14-2012 at 06:19 PM

Maybe because the last time a Diva was at the forefront of WWE was like a century ago, AJ's involvement in the WWE championship match is causing waves in the WWE universe. Ever since Big Show accidentally hit her and her return to save DB, her character development
has been in full effect.

Bryan was pushed to contend for the main belt and WWE have made AJ accompany him the whole
