The Biggest Snubs of WrestleMania XXX (So Far)

Rating: 5 votes, 4.20 average.
It is the biggest WWE pay-per-view of 2014, WrestleMania XXX, which emanates from the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, April 6th, 2014.

WWE Creative will hopefully try to get as much of the talent on the card in the coming weeks, which will no doubt be very difficult as so far two matches have already been announced: Randy Orton versus Batista for the WWE Championship and Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar (part-time talent who draw big time). Add John Cena versus Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan versus Triple H, which will likely be announced perhaps as soon as next week. And don't forget Hulk Hogan will be hosting while Kid Rock will likely perform on the show as well.

However, there will no doubt be some WWE Superstars who will have the misfortune of watching on the sidelines simply because WWE Creative has nothing for them. Perhaps the only thing that these Superstars can hope for is either a lumberjack match or a battle royal, but even that isn't a guarantee as the past two WrestleMania pre-show matches didn't involve a bunch of wrestlers.

And so without further delay, here are the WWE superstars who find themselves on pins and needles heading into WrestleMania XXX (and no, we don't mean Zack Ryder or JTG):

CODY RHODES & GOLDUST
The sons of the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes had a feel-good story last fall when they battled The Authority which began when Triple H "fired" Cody after he lost to Randy Orton. Goldust soon joined in on the fight when on the Battleground PPV, the Rhodes Brothers defeated Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns to win their jobs back. It seemed as if though the Rhodes Brothers would get that WrestleMania XXX moment.

Alas, that wasn't meant to be as they were relegated to competing on WWE Superstars and WWE Main Event last week while not appearing on TV at all this week. Expect the Rhodes Brothers to be sidelined come WrestleMania
XXX
.

KOFI KINGSTON
One of the WWE's high-flying Superstars, the Ghanaian native has become one of the WWE's most charismatic performers. However, Kingston has made sporadic appearances on TV jobbing to the big boys here and there.

THE MIZ
Who? You mean the guy who just three years ago main eventedWrestleMania XXVII defeating John Cena to retain the WWE Championship thanks to a distraction from The Rock? Well, fast forward to today as Mr. awesome has been barely utilized in recent weeks. He has even been replaced by Bryan Sexton as Josh Mathews' broadcasting partner on WWE Main Event‚Äč. Ouch!

Out of the three you mentioned, I find the Rhodes Brothers are the most snubbed. They had something going recently and were even Tag Team Champions in a division that has seen improvement of late. If we don't get Cody vs. Goldust, then I'd like to see them be placed in the Tag Team Championship picture. If the New Age Outlaws face Usos, then I'd like to see Rhodes Brothers added. If NOA can't make it (due to Road Dogg's injury) then I'd have Rhodes Brothers vs. The Usos for the titles.

Kingston is a fun guy to watch, but I hate to say I believe he's more of a filler than an actual featured player in some kind of feud (at least for Mania). I only see him as someone who fills a spot like the MITB matches when they were on Mania. Now he'll be in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. I don't see it as a big issue in terms of being snubbed.

The Miz is probably the biggest of all snubs only because he main evented three Manias ago. Usually a guy who headlines the biggest show of the year is at least in prominent storylines from then on. Miz however has fallen into obscurity. But the reason I see the Rhodes Brothers as bigger snubs than Miz is is only because Miz has been off filming a movie and then took time off for his wedding. So he was too busy to even get the chance to be featured in something meaningful. So he too I think will be in the Battle Royal.
