Extreme Rules Match For The WWE Championship
John Cena © Vs Ryback
Build-Up: Ryback hits his finisher on Cena following his defence of the WWE Championship Vs Mark Henry. Ryback vows to feed him Cena. But Cena claims he has finally bitten off more than he can chew and vows that as 2013 is the year of his revival, he will defeat Ryback for the first time at Extreme Rules.
Notes From The Match: Very hardcore match. A chair shot to the head inadvertently slices Cena open. Ryback looks to have won it but John Cena becomes the first man to kick out of the Shellshock. John Cena with the AA from the top rope for the win.
Winner: And STILL WWE Champion, John Cena. Via Pinfall with a Top-Rope Attitude Adjustment.
Submissions Match For The World Heavyweight Championship
Dolph Ziggler © Vs Alberto Del Rio (Big E Langston, AJ Lee & Ricardo Rodriguez are banned from ringside)
Build-Up: Dolph Ziggler cashes in his MITB briefcase to win the World Heavyweight Championship the night after Wrestlemania. Ziggler vows to impress the world and retain the championship in classic matches until Wrestlemania XXX. As Alberto Del Rio is entitled to a rematch, Booker T allows him to choose the match-type at Extreme Rules. Del Rio decides on a Submissions Match and declares he cannot be beaten. Booker T loves the idea, and to make sure it is a classic wrestling match, all managers are banned from ringside, with the rule that if any interference occurs, they will cost the match AND the title of either superstar.
Notes From The Match: Very technical match. Ziggler uses a Headscissors Choke with handstands for cocky heat, Sleeper Holds and a Standing Crossface Chickenwing, shades of Bob Backlund. Del Rio uses the Gory Special, Lasso From El Paso & the Cross Armbreaker, but it’s not enough as Ziggler counters into a Christo. Del Rio taps out.
Winner: And STILL The World Heavyweight Champion, Dolph Ziggler. Via Submission with the Christo.
Six-Man Elimination Tag-Team Match
The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) Vs Team Hell No! (Kane & Daniel Bryan) & The Undertaker
Build-Up: The RAW after Wrestlemania 29, following his win over CM Punk, The Undertaker is in the ring with the urn, paying tribute to the late Paul Bearer. The Shields music hits and they enter through the crowd and surround the ring. Red pyro blasts, and Kane and Daniel Bryan both make their way to the ring as back-up. The Shield retreats. In the following weeks, The Shield explain how they are the ultimate coalition of chemistry, and despite everything the WWE ‘Superstars’ throw at them, it is never enough. The Undertaker, Kane & Daniel Bryan are determined to prove they are beatable, by having the Tag-Team Champions and The Phenom on the same side at Extreme Rules.
Notes From The Match: Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan start off. ROH chants fill the arena. Some fluent wrestling before Kane gets the tag. Rollins tags Reigns. Power moves from both men but its Kane who wins the battle. Teases a tag to The Undertaker for a pop, and here he is. Old School to Reigns. Snake Eyes on the turnbuckle and he goes for the big boot but it is countered into a Clothesline. Tag to Ambrose. Undertaker fights off to tag in Kane. Ambrose with a Dragon Sleeper before the tag to Reigns. Kane has spaghetti legs before being Speared out of his boots. Reigns pins Kane. Daniel Bryan now back in, but again the Samoan Drop by Reigns is too much. Tag to Rollins. Sunset Flip for 2. Bryan goes for the LeBell Lock, but Rollins counters into a small package. Rollins pins Bryan. The Undertaker in now and is the last remaining opponent for The Shield. The Undertaker is too strong for Rollins and gets a close 2 count following a Chokeslam. Ambrose is in to help out but he gets an Uppercut to send him out of the ring. Rollins goes for the Avada Kedavra but it’s countered into Hell’s Gate. Rollins taps out. Reigns is in now with a Big Boot to knock down the Phenom. 2 count. Reigns looks for the Powerbomb but Taker counters into The Last Ride. Taker pins Reigns. Now it’s The Undertaker Vs Dean Ambrose. Ambrose with a Schoolboy but only gets 2. Chokeslam by Taker but Ambrose kicks out at 2. Ambrose sits up! Vintage Taker! Ambrose goes for the Midnight Special and nails it!! ONLY 2! Ambrose looks for another one but Taker counters and sets up a Tombstone Piledriver. Ambrose wriggles out and pushes Taker into the referee. He is down. And here comes Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Reigns with the Spear on Undertaker. Now they force him up and it’s an Avada Kedavra from Rollins. He is up for a third time and both Ambrose and Rollins pick him up and present him to Reigns for the Triple Powerbomb. But here come Bryan & Kane! Reigns nails the Powerbomb before they can get there and start attacking Rollins & Reigns. Ambrose falls on Taker, and the referee makes the slow 3 count for the win!
Winners: The Shield. Dean Ambrose Via Pinfall on The Undertaker following the Triple Powerbomb.
Your thoughts guys?
All the best, Peace!
