Booking "WWE: TLC 2012"

Rating: 6 votes, 1.67 average.
Greetings all ewrestlingnews.com bloggers and forum members. The 26th Anniversary of WWE Survivor Series is now officially behind us. With that being said, we now have the WWE’s go-home Pay-Per-View of 2012. That event being a tribute themed Pay-Per-View to one of the most brutal matches in wrestling history. Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

Mr. Jay wrote a blog last week about how he would book this event. With all due respect to Mr. Jay, it wasn’t a believable card. He was creative and I’ll give him credit where credit’s due, but if WWE was going to have CM Punk go one-on-one with Mick Foley in the near future, it’d have to be done on RAW. Not at a Pay-Per-View. An ideal time to do it would be the main event of the very first RAW of 2013. Reminiscent of the main event of RAW IS WAR on their first episode of 1999, and The Rock would be the one to who would play Stone Cold Steve Austin’s role from 1999 in that match. With that being said, how would be the ideal way to book such a prestigious event such as this?

Now granted, I know that this event isn’t as prestigious of an event as say a Survivor Series is, but it’s still a chance to make hundreds and thousands of profitable dollars, and a good chance to make people, especially the hardcore wrestling fans want to give their two cents about a Pay-Per-View event that is just thrown out on the annual calendar just for the heck of it. Nowadays, the annual Pay-Per-View calendar (and keep in mind that this is just one man’s opinion) is just one big giant cluster of events that are nothing but horrible tribute PPVs, and wannabe In Your House rip-offs. Needless to say, I am not a fan of Pay-Per-Views such as Elimination Chamber, Hell In A Cell, and Fatal 4 Way among others. Names such as No Way Out and Armageddon are far better names that Hell In A Cell. With that said, here is how yours truly, would book the last WWE Pay-Per-View of 2012; Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

(Before you read the card, I finalized this before RAW began on Monday. So keep that in mind.)

Now folks, the reason why I chose the matches that I chose are because of a few simple factors.
01: Yes, there was a Kingston vs. Barrett match on RAW last night. But given time, I do see Barrett once again gaining Intercontinental Gold, and I also believe that it will happen within the next 6 months. Maybe even less. But with Cody Rhodes injured, and the current push that Sandow is receiving, it's just what makes sense right now.
02: With Miz turning face, he getting back into the mid-card title picture against a powerhouse heel such as Cesaro, would be a great way to build much needed fan support.
03: The reason that I have the DIVA's and US Title matches as Ladder Matches is because of the theme of this Pay-Per-View.
04: The reason why I added William Regal to the WHC Match is because of the way the storyline has been going the past few weeks. Plus, making it a Table Match would be ideal because of two key things; The Knockout, and the Brouge Kick.
05: Cena vs. Ziggler in a Chair Match is a nice fit because Cena works well in that style of match, and facing Ziggler would be a good point for their current storyline with AJ and Vickie.
06: The reason why I put the WWE Tag-Team Champions in a Triple Threat TLC Match for the Title with CM Punk, is because it's a nice fit and change of pace heading into the Road to WrestleMania. We need something that is both different and exciting. The last time that style of match happened was at Survivor Series 2009, and it worked out quite uniquely.

I do agree with one thing. Mick vs CM Punk would be shit because everyone knows Punk would win. A RAW match would not be bad though.

i understand now but it make no sense in storyline plus 3 way match will be a great match but it too easy who going to win the match that y i say the match is a no go and u right it is theme ppv dont mean every match will be that y divas match is not going to be a ladder match it will work if one girl was trish while the other is lita. u got great matches book but it make no sense

I think Ziggler vs Cena is a definite possibility, but Punk vs Kane and Bryan is definitely a stretch, I think I would have Punk vs Cena, have one of them face Rocky at the Rumble

Why would you bash another blog about TLC and put this blog up. Foley vs Punk could work great at a PPV vs Raw. Punk vs Kane vs Bryan makes no sense. If WWE is building up the tag division then why would they have the tag champs in a triple threat match. I would rather see Kane and Bryan defend the belts vs a triple threat match that you know Punk will win so he can go on to face Rock.
