Rate this Entry
Hey everyone. Here's Part Four of the TOP 30 FINISHERS OF WWE TODAY. I hope you all enjoy...

12. The People's Elbow (High Angle Delayed Elbow Drop)
The Rock's secondary finishing move. A move that has become the most electrifying move in WWE. The attacking wrestler stands at the head of an opponent laying on their back, runs to the left and as they are coming back, jumps over the opponent's head and runs to the right side of the ring, followed up by a delayed high angle elbow drop. This move has put away superstars like Kurt Angle, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker and Big Show.

11. Brogue Kick (Bicycle Kick)
This move was originally used by A-Train, now known as Lord Tensai back in his early days in WWE. It is now used by Sheamus and was renamed the Brogue Kick. It involves the attacking wrestler jumping in the air with both feet kicking forward in a pedalling motion with normally, the right foot connecting to the opponent's face. It has helped Sheamus to victory against numerous other wrestlers such as Randy Orton, Mark Henry, Triple H, Christian, Daniel Bryan and John Morrison.

10. STF
Short for Stepover Toehold Facelock. A move made famous my Lou Thez and is now being used by John Cena. It involves the attacker grabbing one of the legs, mostly the left leg of an opponent laying on their front and stepping over and placing the opponent's ankle or calf between the attacker's thighs. They then lay across their back or next to them and lock their hands or wrists around the opponent's head or neck and applying pressure by wrenching their neck back. Nearly everyone that John Cena has trapped in the move has tapped out, including Edge, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, The Great Khali, Chris Jericho, Mark Henry, Batista, CM Punk, Christian, The Miz and Chris Benoit and Jack Swagger.

9. Attitude Adjustment (Fireman's Carry into a Powerslam)
This is John Cena's finisher, which he debuted in 2003 in a rivalry with Brock Lesnar. Lesnar had his finisher, the F5 which was Spinning Fireman's Carry Facebuster. So Cena debuted his finisher, a Fireman's Carry Powerslam and named it the F-U. It involves, picking the opponent up in a Fireman's Carry position. The attacker then wraps his hand and wrist around the opponent's head and grabs the opponent's thigh with the other hand and flips the opponent over the attacker's head and slams them down on the mat. There are multiple ways of doing the move. First, the wrestler can either drop on their knees or perform a sitdown variation of the move. Or the attacker may simply slam the opponent down while standing. It can be effective and has put away a lot of superstars that have taken the move such as Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, Edge, Chris Jericho, Undertaker, Kane, Christian, The Miz, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, David Otunga, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar. It also helps show off Cena's strength. Since he has performed the move on many big men including Mark Henry, Umaga, Big Show, Viscera and The Great Khali.

8. GTS - Go To Sleep (Fireman's Carry into a Standing Single Knee Facebuster)
A finisher that CM Punk has used since early 2007. It involves the attacking wrestler picking their opponent up on their shoulders in a Fireman's Carry position. They then lift the opponent up and drop them forward, face first onto the attacking wrestler's knee, seemingly putting the opponent "To Sleep". This move has put away many wrestlers such as John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Rey Mysterio, Kane, Batista, JBL, Chris Jericho and The Miz.

7. The Last Ride (High Angle Powerbomb)
Undertaker's secondary finisher. He rarely wins matches with it but it is still one of the most powerful moves in WWE today. It involves the wrestler placing the opponent between their thighs and then lifting them up in a Powerbomb position. The attacking wrestler then lifts the opponent up high and slams them down back first on the mat. It has put away many superstars like John Cena, Kane, Kurt Angle, Big Show, The Miz, CM Punk, JBL, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Triple H, Mark Henry and Batista.

6. The Rock Bottom (Lifting Side Slam)
A move that is used by The Rock but is also used by Booker T, with a different name "The Book End". The move involves the attacking wrestler place the opponent's right arm around the right shoulder of the attacker, while the attacker grabs the opponen by the left shoulder. The attacking wrestler then places their other hand on the opponent's back for leverage and lifts them up and drops them forward, slamming them on their back. A move that was made famous by Rock and has allowed him to win against superstars like Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Kane, Triple H, John Cena and Edge.

Glad to see rock bottom and peoples elbow. But peoples elbow should be rated higher because it grabs the people from their seats whether they loved or hated The Rock.
