Why The Rock vs Brock Lesnar Needs to Happen

WWE has been lacking main event names and main event matches for some time now. John Cena has been at the forefront of the company now for the past eight years or so and since then nobody has really risen up to take his spot apart from CM Punk last year. WWE hit the jackpot when The Rock finally came back in 2011 as his name carried a lot of star power after he established himself as a leading man in Hollywood.
The WWE has then gone on to resign Brock Lesnar after he retired from the UFC & MMA earlier this year after his loss to Alistair Overeem. Lesnar has apparently signed a one year contract in which he must make at least two appearances a month and up to forty appearances over the year including Wrestlemania 29.
Rumor has it that The Rock has also signed a similar deal and with his promo last week stating that he wants to pursue the WWE title it leaves the writers with plenty of options.
Here's the best option. Lesnar & Rock are your two biggest draws. While Rock will be away for a while filming, build Lesnar up and put the title on him over the year. Then have The Rock return and challenge Lesnar for the title leading up to Rock vs Brock II at Wrestlemania 29. Some may argue that the WWE shouldn't put the title on either as neither are on full time contracts, and without a doubt the superstars will piss and moan about this as well. But honestly, who wants to see another Cena title run? They need to throw him into a program with Taker for WM29. As for Punk the fans want him against Steve Austin at WM29 in a dream match that was probably more wanted than Rock vs Cena.
So make it happen WWE.
