The Leg-end Killer

The Future of WWE

Rating: 2 votes, 2.00 average.
Ok so currently the WWE have John Cena at the top of the WWE tree but eventually even the 5 year olds who adore him will realise hes an average wrestler at best. and with injurys mounting up with HHH,Taker,Mysterio & Jericho probably taking time off to tour with Fozzy whos going to step up and become the next big thing?

Sheamus

Sheamus has had an impressive 12 months and his in ring confidence and prescense has grown as the years progressed. But in my opinion hes suffereing from not being over with the crowd, I mean the biggest reaction for him was when he came out to help Cena against Nexus and that was a cheer, now forgive me but isnt he meant to be heel? His mic works good but as with all the other superstars its not great but I think that with the way the company is at the minute thats not what there going for.

Drew McIntyre

Get this man as a face and soon the whole chosen one isnt working for me now its just getting annoying. Hes another solid in ring competitor with the prescense ability to get across in a big way, yes he has this slightly psychotic look about him but with Orton and Kane doing the psycho its not needed. Get him out into the main event picture I personally think he should be the man to end Takers streak.

Edge

Edge is a brilliant heel he also has the charisma and mic skills to switch between face and heel in a second during a promo (going back in time the E&C 5 Second poses where a great piece if face in a heel team) He's also a BIG merchandise seller because of his charisma so he could be the one to take over from Cena in that way although he has age slightly against him but as a wrestler he should be the one that leads the company for the next few years.

Randy Orton

The Viper always seems to be there or thereabouts but still seems to be the whipping boy of the main event scene. A brilliant wrestler especially in the last few month some of his performances and RKO's have been amazing (I am thinking of the one to Bourne during AirBourne and the one at MiTb to Jericho off a ladder) his promos are really good and I think that once the WWE got rid of this Legend Killer tag he had for a while hes really come into his own.

There are others the likes of Jack Swagger, The Miz, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Evan Bourne, John Morrison are all impressing but are still sort of emerging from there crysalis and need that big thing to elevate them up to the next level

*I totally agree with Sheamus. I think he is what is going to have to carry the WWE over the next generation of stars. He has nothing but talent.

*Drew McIntyre. It's really hard to say. I think he's just one of those characters that people could really care less if he's there or not. I think if he were to turn face, nothing would happen at all. Yes he does have talent, that's why he is where he is. But he already has a really bad reputation in the back, and I don't think it's going to be that long of a run with him.

*I really don't have anything to say about Edge. It is what it is. I think he is a good in ring performer, but I think he will be injured in a couple months, just because that's what happens to him. I don't think he's going to do anything special anytime soon.

*Randy Orton. Wow. What a dude right? He of course will be with the WWE for many years to come, and probably always. He is fantastic, in the ring, out of the ring, on the mic, anything that he does, is genius.

*Jack Swagger, to me, he's a pimple that won't go away. Alright in ring work, nothing special on the mic.
*The Miz, I think he's wonderful. He is great at what he does, awesome on the mic, he has the character and everything. He's awesome. No pun intended.
*Kofi, Sure he just dropped the belt, but he got what he deserved, and that was a major push for a while.
*Dolph Ziggler, That man is talent. Look at him. He does everything amazingly good. He will be champion for a while and on top of Smackdown!
*Evan Bourne, His work is showing off. He's getting the push he deserves.
*John Morrison. Simply amazing. Great talent, character, everything. He will be on top for a long time.

Talent wise, WWE is taking some huge hits. However, some of the current talent do have what it takes to be top tier stars.

*Drew McIntyre, Dolph, Jack Swagger, Kofi: I gotta admit I stopped watching Smackdown years ago. The show is no longer as entertaining and worth as it used to be. I have heard enough about these guys through the site though and if they pop up Raw on every now and again, I've seen what they're really made of. Jack Swagger annoys the absolute hell out of me. Why he was even given the world title is beyond me. His character does nothing for me as a fan. He has all the wrestling ability in the world, but him not being able to back it up on the mic turns off me of him as a fan. Dolph and Drew are in line for big pushes sometime soon. It'll be good to hear about what happens with them, especially now that Dolph is IC champ. Poor Kofi though...maybe next time he should pay better attention in the ring and not botch match choreography, especially when dealing with Randy Orton. He was exactly what it takes to be world champion but that one moment screwed it all up. It probably would not have been a big deal if Randy hadn't showed his ass about it, but he did. Too bad Kofi's paying for it on Smackdown/

*Evan: Love the little guy. Took one hell of a RKO! He's so electric in ring and really amazing to watch

*John: JoMo is another guy I love to watch. Some of the moves he pulls off in the ring are unbelievable. I think Starship pain is the only finisher I look forward to seeing. Definitely wwe title worthy. He needs to be put a good storyline asap.

*Edge: What to say here? Edge is very witty, I give him that. I just wish that this stupid PG rating didn't get in the way of his "Rated-R" style. I hope he can avoid injury, though he himself that he hasn't got much left in his tank.

*Randy Orton: Forgetting about his pissy attitude that shows itself every so often, he's one of the best there is and on top of that...is still so damn young, younger than some of the new guys. I would like him to win the title at SSlam this Sunday, quite simply because he's the total package.

    *Miz: AWESOME!!!

*Sheamus: I wasn't too keen on him at first, but he is a bulldozer. He's definitely got all the potential in the world. WWE should just keep building on it. If they do, then there's nothing that can stop him from becoming a major star.

Thanks for the feedback. I grudgingly agree with you on the Edge thing he is very Injury prone is to me his only downside, Ziggler has grown on me in the last few months as Miz & Morrison theres just something about the intensity in them at the minute thats such a change and it can only be good. I so wanted to argue a case for Punk but its hard because I think the SES has a long way to run yet. I actually wanna see Serina wrestle she looks like she could be half good (obviously she has a degree of talent to be on the main roster)

I am with you on Starship Pain being an amazing visual finisher its just to quote Ron Simmon "DAMN!"
I was like you I didnt watch smackdown but I feel they have the stronger roster at the minute (plus no cena BONUS!) and i usually watch Smackdown after Orton.Sheamus.Miz has been on.
Orton does have that problem with discapline but I think he feeds on the fans knowing that he has, I think if he tryed to change he would lose that edge

Not here to start a Cena debate but.... he is here to stay whether we like him or not. Hes doing a fine job in my book.

I'd like to see Dolph Ziggler get a push. Hes got an amazing look of a champion to me and the "swagger" of a top notch heel. I hate the pairing of him with Vicky though, that sucks lol.

I think Orton could be the face of the company, because he is the complete package. He has the look, the speaking ability, and the actual talent. He really isn't boring like Cena and 90% of the crowd either love him or hate him depending on his character. A far future leader could be the Miz. His mic skills are superb and he is a decent wrestler. A few more years under his belt and he could be the main man of the WWE.
